Van Horst's is pretty nifty, but its not everything that it's cracked out to be.

Don't forget, you don't get any of the enemy's special abilities or magic items, just their stats.

With that in mind, and knowing the Grimgor weapons, he'd still do alot of pwning. Against other folks it might be the same way, since alot of time it's the magic items / abilities that beef up their characters.

However, it's great against alot of crazy models, but it's especially effective with a simple mage who has the bears anger...

Yeah.. but the character with Vanhorstman's can have weapons as well that beef their stats.

Oh yeah, and the person can always refuse the challenge, or use a champion to do it.

Van Horstmann is only 30 points, that gives you another 70 points to spend on weapons and armor.

if they Refuse, they essentially become useless as they run to the back. As for champions, well, we have Hochland long rifles for that.

I mean, go ahead and take it, I've just not found it too effective personally. Then again, thats just me. If it works for you, go for it!
