Multiple shot Penalty

I keep hearing people mention it, but I can't find it anywhere in the book- its not listed in the Index. Is there such a thing?

Page 55, it's a special weapon rule. States that multiple shots weapons (firing multiple shots) incur an additional -1 to hit.

I thought your repeater crossbows would not have a multiple shots penalty as they are fancy contraptions (at least for me as an O&G player ) but it seems that they do.

Im pretty sure Dark Elf repeater xbows get a penalty, i dotn think they have the option to shoot one shot anyways !

If it just says multiple shots, they can always opt to fire one or two, but they can't have some models choose to fire multiple and some fire one (as in the situation of two ranks firing on a hill, one being in short and the rear rank at long).

It doesn't just say "multiple shots," it says "2 x multiple shots"

Does that mean they get multiple shots twice? 4 shots at -2 penalty?

Whats the exact wording ?? i think they ALWAYS shoot twice.

"Rules: 2 x multiple shots, armour piercing"

It means they can shoot up to two times, albiet with the -1.

Cosmo is correct in this. the 2x stands for the number of shots, since some weapons could have 3x or something.

Yeah, I was just messing with that comment. GW needs to lrn2english.
