Turn 1
Matt won the option to go first, but made a critical error (IMO) when he failed to advance his troops. Some Salli ran into some woods on the right flank, but nothing else came off the line. Even the tarradons did not move into an attack position as Matt chose to rely on his magic to attack. The Sundering banner and Tzee troops matched up well to the 10 levels of Lizzie magic and they weathered the first round with few issues. In the bottom of turn 1 the DoC took advantage of the still open board to move up into attack positions with all cav units while a unit of flamers took up residence in a tower. The first magic phase was snuffed after 1 cast with the Cube of Darkness.

Turn 2
Matt moves his skinks up to shoot at the BSB/FH unit that now controls the center. The tarradons drop rocks on Skulltakers unit, and take up a redirecting position right in front of the unit. Nothing else moves, even the Salli unit stays hidden in the woods. Again, there is some minimal damage from magic and shooting. IIRC I’m down a couple of 2.5 flamers, 1.5 FH, and a seeker. At the bottom of round 2 Skulltaker runs down the Tarradons but Matt’s redirect has also successfully put him out of position for a turn 3 charge. The Siren Standard wielding Seeker units both charge mesmerized Skinks and win that combat. One unit is breaks free into the Lizzie deployment zone while the other overruns into the Saurus.

Turn 3
The Salamanders finally peak their head out to get into shooting position. Matt’s lone charge is into the front of the Saurus engaged Seekers; however, hits from the EoTG radius blast kill 1 seeker and leave him out of the combat once CC starts. It matters little as the Saurus easily trash the light cav unit. Bottom of 3, Skulltaker turns his Flesh hounds back to the action and the remaining seekers move into view of those juicy Slann frog legs, while the BSB unit charges the Saurus unit to reclaim the Seeker banner. The Daemons win combat, but those Cold Blooded Saurus hold the lines in a fierce stance.

Turn 4
EoTG Steggy 1 flank charges the BSB unit and the Sali’s com flying out of the woods to take on 3 flamers while other troops advance towards the ongoing fight. Magic damage from the EoTGs and Slann are starting to show as several FHs, Flamers, and Seekers have all returned to the daemonic plane. The flamers hold in combat with the Sali’s. The charging EoTG and Saurus are too much for the weakened BSB/FH unit to overcome. The BSB fluffed his roll and died in a challenge with the Scar Vet. As we enter the bottom of turn 4, only a lone FH remained. In the bottom of turn 4, Skulltaker hits the Saurus unit and the Seekers charge the Slann in the rear. Some flamers are finally able to blast down one EoTG priest. A lone flamer continues to hold off 2 salis. The Seekers do two wounds on the Slann, but they fail to kill him, loose combat, and implode. The Scar vet denies Skulltakers challenge and the unit is broken. The lone FH flees to the corner of the board while Skulltaker overruns into the now EoTG less Steggy.

Turn 5
The Temple Guard joins the Steggy in combat with Skulltaker. The Salimanders finish off the Flamer unit. The Slann does some more damage on the remaining flamers. IIRC Skulltaker looses combat by a bit, but rolls well enough to minimize damage to a single wound. The bottom of 5 is centered on the one combat. This time Skulltaker wins, but the stubborn, cold blooded Slann units hold.

Turn 6
EoTG Steggy 2 flank charges Skulltakers unit and the key combat continues. EoTG and Impact damage is painful, but the Daemons fight on. Skulltaker fights the Skink Priest in a challenge and scores a killing blow on the Ancient Steggy. The jugger takes out the Priest. FH and TG die. Skulltaker wins combat, but the Lizzies all hold. In the bottom of the final round, the only significant event was Matt scoring by taking out the last FH in Skulltakers unit.

When the dust settled on this bloodbath, kill points were about even with the LM slightly ahead. The DoC took the lead in points based on table quarters and standards captured. This madness was super close and the end result was a draw.

Looks like a pretty solid battle to me though, do we have results of the tournament yet?

Star Dragon is my only answer...that and 4 bolt throwers!!!

Kolek can take one out in 1 charge. Each unsaved wound is D3 wounds. Being that he hits the steg on 3's and wounds on 2's and has 7 attacks = 1 dead stegadon.

Kermit can take one Kholek out in one Pit of Shades. Each undispelled Pit is one Init. test or die. Being that Kholek is I1 = 1 dead Kholek.

What do I love more. Were talking smack about our characters, or that Matt refers to his slann as Kermit!

Do you have a proper miss piggy?

I'm getting slack for my 150 point Hero level SC and you go and throw the Suneater into the ring.

For 605 points, I would hope he could take on a Steggy.

I guess some well placed canon shots could knock it down
