Lord- I tend to take him defense heavy, I have not used the MR O' Challenge on a lord yet

BSB- I would probably drop the rune banner and kit this guy out for punishment, MRGromril, cleaving, fury. Even though I just kitted him out with Strollaz's and Grungni, It was a risk because he got challenged and could have been wiped out

Thunderers- I tend to take these only if I know that I will be facing highly armored troops, otherwise they die just as easy as quarrellers for more points. Quarreler units would save you 60 points in your list.

LB- I would probably take the stoicism from hammerers and put it on these guys if your worried about auto-breaking.

BT- I love having the engineer with the crew, especially if he has brace of pistols. Lets you do something besides stand and take it if it gets charged
