june the 6th 1944 D DAY.....

has anyone got any plan to play a large flames of war D Day based tournament on this day at Joels? I would like to do a game rather like Tanksgiving or do something with a lot of infantry and some of the low countries scenarios???


I am posting this here and elsewhwere to find out who may be interested. John sowerby (brits) brought this up to me and I can be ready to go at a few moments notice.

June the sixth 2009 would be an anniversary to june the 6th 1944 so thats why i bring this up.

Unfortunately I don't think anything like this will be starting up for this weekend. I can't be there as I am playing in a golf tournament on that day.

HOWEVER:

Battlefront put out some rules for a special D-Day event and I plan on running a D-Day style tournament (first round being either sieze and hold or hit the beach) but that will probably be towards the end of the month if not July.

ALSO

We will be having an escalation league starting up soon that I think you and John need to jump in on! Even though you guys have painted stuff it'll be a good way to get regular gaming in as well as get new folks into FOW.

sure I am game for the escalation league... if anyone is free this weekend on saturday and wants to play in a larger game let me know... John has brits and can fight up to 3500 and I have germans and can fight in pretty much any large point range.
