40k Ardboys on Sunday July 12

So the 40K ArdBoys is coming on July 11 and i havent seen anything posted on it yet. I think Joel is signing people up but not sure if he has anyone to run it or not. I allready signed up, anyone else going ?

Yeah, I've got the stuff- so I'm planning on it.

Man, come to think of it, I haven't played 40k for quite some time. I think the last time I played was Bill's apoc tournament.

Im starting to get into it again, mainly cause my friend is starting to play it. Had to untangle the mess of plastic and metal that is my Ork army, i actually have a pretty good size fully painted Ork army ! I had totally forgotten about it. I keep on trying to add fanatics to my Gretchin units ...

I hope Joel can find someone to host it, or maybe just do it himself ! we should get a good turnout, there are a heck of a lot of 40k players.

Agh, its the only weekend I cant play. I moved down here a month ago, finally was able to go back up to NC and get my armies. Where do you guys play at? what times, location? I'm located right off of 826 (Palmetto?) and Okeechobee road.

I'm up for a pick up game anytime as long as I am not working, problem is I work thrus-mon 3-11.

Per Luis (in the fantasy thread), the Sunshine instance of this event has been moved to SUNDAY JULY 12th

this sucks, i thought it was going to be on the 11th so i was down. i'm not going to be able to go on the 12th cause i have my best friends babyshower that sunday. :-( that really sucks

I called Joel today to ask him about this. Apparently the only person he has signed up for the 40k Hard Boyz is Marc Parker.

If your going, I'd suggest you call him and make sure that he knows your going.

Oh, and I'm gonna go. My last Hurrah with the Guard!

Ugh, I completly forgot the Ard Boyz was today. Around 1 30 it suddenly hit me that it was today.

Don't know, I showed up a bit late, and due to being the odd man out was not able to get any games in. So I left. Which really irritates me because I took a day off from work, and worked on my list like 3 weeks... Anyways, good luck too who made it to the next round.

It was fun as hell, had a full house, some poor souls got to play on a table Joel setup outside !

Lotta marines in their Chaos and Emperor kind, couple of Eldars, and me with Orks.

I took first place, CUBORK POWA !
Not sure who took second and third, was damn tired by that time.

First game vs Christ and his Eldar
Horrible rolls on his part + couple of tactital mistakes + me rolling Godly = Massacre on my favor.
Ghazghkull and his Nobs made a mess of the Seer council, i also able to catch a tarnsport full of guys and kill them all inside on an assault. Christ was doing a great job of failing fortune rerrolls. And i made evry single Feel no pain save, heck ,even Eldrad failed 2 of his 3+ rerrolled inv saves !

Second game was vs George and MORE Eldar !
This was mega kill points, HQ worth 5 points each and elites/heavy/fast worth 2 points each. He flew his seer council away from Ghazgkull, poor guy had to content himself with killing a Wratihlord and a squad of Dire avengers. This game was close, i won it by like 6 points and it gave me a minor victory.

Last game was vs Rufus and Plague marines.
Game started really good for me, i went first and he had left his 2 Defilers out in the open and a Demon Prince that a Loota squad had clear sight to. One defiler dead, the other one lost his Battlecannon on that first round, next round i shot a dmon prince dead and Ghazgkull and his boys waaaghed up the building and kill the Oblitarators and the other Demon prince. One termiantor squad in a landraider chwed through 26 shoota boys and 10 slugga boys, but at the end i was able to get them between 3 squads and numbers of attacks took its toll. Another Termi squad deep truck in front of 26 slugga boys, killed a few, and i charged him, again the obscene number of attacks i threw against him won that battle for me. Ghazghkull and the Nobs got charged by 3 sqquads of Plaguemarines and we stayed there for like 3 rounds beating on each other, at the end Ghazghkull had 2 wounds left and i was down to 3 Nobs and the Big Mek, but he only had 5 marines left in one squad. This game ended on a massacre in my favor.

It was fun tough games, looking foward to the semi finals and see what people bring. I was surprised i didnt see a single Guard army, i may have had some probs against them and all their new crazy rules.
