The first one is the one we all remember from our childhood who sang Billy Jean, taught us to moon walk, grab our crotches and wear shiny vinyl jackets with metal patches.

The second one is wacko Jacko , the thing that his guy became.

It's a sad ending to a sad story.

Let's not forget Dan, that you're probably not going to be inviting 13 year old boys to sleep over your house and in your bed. If you recall, that was the SECOND time he was accused of sexual abuse, after already settling out of court years earlier, which is incriminating in itself.

Whether he was truly a pedophile or not, no one will ever know, but one thing's for sure, he showed really bad judgment and conducted himself very inappropriately with children.

His music is awesome. I'm not gonna tell someone to turn off Thriller because he may have been a pedophile.

The subject is a little tense with me, not the Jackson bit, more the sexual abuse bit. I'd hate to lose face and/or job over something that I would never even concieve doing.

The guy was obviously messed up, just his interviews in recent years prove he had issues. I think he also could easily been innocent, he did the wrong thing but doubt he ever had any bad intentions or did anything, but it lead to the door being open for his accusers. I have a hard time believing that the parents of a molested child would simply walk away due to money.... I know it was alot, but if your kid had been really molested, I would assume you would really want justice. I dunno, he never was found guilty of anything anyways so we will never know.

You also don't step away when your child was hurt in such a way. Either way we don't know.

The problem with such cases is that it's largely based on he said, she said. The kids were much younger, all a jury has to go on is merely their word unless their is damning testimony from actual witnesses. I served on the grand jury of a similar case once and it is largely finger pointing without much to work on.

Even if he was innocent he had little chance as he apparently did allow kids to sleep with him which in itself was wrong to do obviously, though if he actually did any real harm is another matter. The state itself had no case or anything to go at him with, it was a personal matter.

He was screwed either way, even if innocent he had little. The man was troubled, I can't say that he didn't do anything wrong but at the same time I think it's clearly possible of him just ignorant that he was an easy target.

Be interesting to see what comes out now that hes gone, I wouldn't be surprised to see some tell all stuff coming out of the woodwork which might shed more light on all that went on.

I think he was messed up,did he molest kids? im not sure. If someone molested my kid Id want blood not a fucking payoff no matter how much. Michaels family was a mess and that being said so was he. I think he acted very inappropriately,but I dont think he sexually molested any kids. I think the lowlife scumbag parents of these kids took advantage of the situation and the fact Michael was a strange ranger. Again you dont take a payoff if your fucking kids was molested...you go for the throat of the motherfucker. I think Jackson payed these people off to just be done with it. If I had been him Id of fought those parasites tooth and nail. If he were guilty he'd of been convicted and dont mention O.J.,those are two different situations and O.J. IS a murderer. he was aquitted because he's black.

I agree to an extent Bill. Yes - I would want blood. I'd want a long, painful , Marcellus Wallace style death. Pair of pliers and a blow torch.

However, if presented with the option to take $23 million and get my kid help without an embarrassing trial testimony and further media - I'm sure my wife would appeal to my calmer side to do what was best for my child. Especially when, as you pointed out, California has a bad track record of convicting famous people on anything.

It is easy to assume that a payout of that size would convict him in many eyes. What is shocking is how many of the media led sheep can look past such things.
