Re: Mordheim...?
I've always been curious, but I'm wary. I was all excited about the Necromunda game starting up at the dragon and then that place went bust. And that was after I printed out the entire PDF rulebook from GW!

Re: Mordheim...?
It's a d6 based rpg in the warhammer setting.
Each player controls a warband, which is around 8-12 models depending on the army.

Re: Mordheim...?
I've played a few games also and yeah, it's very fun. It's a mix of table top/rpg. Really not so much rpg except for the fact that your team can "raise" in skills, stats & abilities. Oh, and you can also upgrade your weapons & equipment as time goes on. There is even the possiblity of "finding" And/or purchasing magic items.
I would like to be involved if you guys get Mordheim going.

Necromunda was the best skirmish game they ever made. Too bad they don't support Necromunda or Mordhiem much.

Re: Mordheim...?
There was several people interersted in this game, I forget the individual who wanted to start a Mordheim group. I believe he had talk to Bill about starting a new section on the forum, but Bill said that there needs to be certain level of interest before that can happen.
Which brings an interesting point up. What do we (as players) need to do to start a new section on this forum?
Example, recently a lot of interested has been generate by the man who single handly brought BattleTech back....
MIKE
And so now a lot of people are playing or will start playing BattelTech we have for the most part been posting here and there. We have requested a section, but nothing formal, because we do not know the process (if any) for starting a new section.
So the final questions is, what do we the players need to do if we want to start a new section like BattleTech or Mordheim?

Nobody spoke to me about it; however, that is what I would have said. I'm not opposed to new sections. What we do not want is to have a bunch of sections with few posts. It makes us look less active, less organized, and it stops fitting on the screen.
As modheim is an extension of the warhammer fantasy game, I'd suggest posting in that section. I can make you a sub forum if you'd like, but I don't think it is needed.

Re: Mordheim...?
Id be really interested in this, 12 models seems like a super reasonable thing to manage. Are lizzes a playable race? If not no biggy. And it seems like you could really go crazy and customize your warband to the max! (As your guys level or grow i assume you could replace them with a more suped up version of themselves?)

Re: Mordheim...?
Yeah, thats exactly what people do.
No, I don't think Lizzies are a customizable Warband.
The rules, including all of the warbands, are available FOR FREE online at the GW site. Simply go to specialist games and download it there.

I would really like to play this, i always liked D&D, just never got a good dungeon master to play it, the whole developing your character thing is pretty cool.

Well it's much different from D&D, this is a skirmish rule system with campaign features.

Re: Mordheim...?
Well, we need to get some more terrain. Mordheim favors terrain like 40k, since moving through buildings and such is pretty simple.
Would folks be interested in doing a sort of campaign thingy?
I have an unofficial warband as well, well, at least a PDF of one. The Outlaws of Sherwood Forest!

Re: Mordheim...?
And I don't believe you have to go out buy new models, you can use exsisting models from fantasy. So if you have any extras you can use those.
Frantic, yes, I notice that there is now a BattleTech section, yeah!

Yea from what I can see a box or two of warhammer troops is enough to make yourself a good warband

This game sounds pretty interesting just from reading the basic concept I would read more but after travelling for almost 24 hours it's hard to focus .
