Blood Bowl Demo Sat 6/19

Hey all, I'll be at joels Demoing Blood Bowl this Saturday, June 19 around 5:30pm. Any and all are welcome to play. It's a 2 player game and I only have one board so I'll keep the games to just one half which is 1 hour and 4 minutes of game play. Although you'll be learning the rules and I'll be taking you through it step by step, the game may be more or less a bit longer.

If the link doesn't work just go to the GW website. Then mouse over the Specialist Game tab, click on Blood Bowl, click on Blood Bowl Resources and the click on it again and you'll see 4 PDF files. The First is the Blood Bowl Competion Rules. The rest are helpful articles.

Hey, are you still playing? I've got my own box of blood bowl recently and a group of us have started our teams up. We want to start doing a league, so hit me up if you want to do something.

Hell yeah! Where do you guys plan on playing? And when are you starting?

Well we're still new we just finished our first couple halves the other night and noticed the book in the box was soooo outdated are still trying to get the lrb5+ all committed to memory lol. We've been playing at our buddies place in south beach but we will start doing joels soon enough since we're usually there on Wednesdays and sundays.

Yea the box is long out of print but they still have copies for sale. The book that comes with the box is useless and should never have been read.

Yeah i had to dump all the info from that stupid book out of my brain and get the new info in. Now i just need to start playing games to cement it in there.

Joel spoke to me about Blood Bowl happening soon. I told him, yeah I read about it on the forum.

He seems excited. Said he was going to MAYBE start ordering blood bowl stuff. Not only from GW but also from some other company that makes "fantasy football" minis. Don't remember if it was IMPACT or SHADOWFORGE or someone else.

I told him he may want to wait before ordering anything. There is a good chance since the game is sooo old that people already have their teams. I would hate for the stuff to just sit around collecting dust.

By the way, Acidchalk, how many hopefull Blood Bowl Players in your group?

Joel was talking about Impact. The designer travels a lot for his day job and apparently he was in Miami and was going to run a demo, but was unable to make it so he just gave Joel a bunch of samples and is trying to negotiate for Joel to carry his stuff.

Well, right now lets see. There is me, *khemri* sam *chaos* harry *orks* vincent *lizard men* luis *humans*.

Cool, my friend Rob will be either Skaven or Nurgle Rotters. I'll be either Chaos, Wood Elves or Necromantic Undead. I have one more friend that I might be able to convince to play he's got Norse & High Elves. At the moment he's got no transportation so it really depends on the day.

Ok cool. I'm going to be playing with my friends today in south beach so lets come up with a decent schedule we can all fit in to and we can get the ball rolling hehe.

As of right now, I'm good & both my friends are good with Wednesday & Sunday.

Sunday obviously better since we can squeeze more games in the day. If you and crew and Joel are cool with that, I'm down.

I don't know what games religiously get played on Sundays at Joels but I think we could fit at least 3 game boards, if need be, on one of his "card" playing tables.

Joel also mentioned he would talk to whoever runs the forum to create a Blood Bowl section. I hope we can keep the section alive and bring more players onto the pitch.
