Anphelion Base
Played a 40k game using the Anphelion Base rules at Tate's on Sunday.
The Tzeentch Daemons
2 Daemon Princes, 2x3 flamers, 5x5 horros
The Tiger Argent Marines
Librarian, 2x5 Elite Marines, 2x10 Marines, 6 Terminators
The Anphelion Base rules are designed for interior battle. There are rules for opening blast doors, shooting from rooms, fighting in cooridors, etc. Very cool stuff.
We set a single objective in the temple as our goal. - The Tate's board we used is simply amazing.

Each team had direct access to the relic chamber through a hallway and via a room through the blast door.
A second 'secret door' in the caverns of the Daemon side could only be opened by the Marines.
We deployed 6" in (Daemons too) - the Marines went first.
Turn 1 - Tiger Terminators advance up a caverous hallway. The Librarian tiger elite squad advances into a temple room. 3 tiger squards advance through the caverns twords the "secret door"
All flamers and 1 horror unit advance forward through the open halls to meet the terminators. 1 DP and 2 other horror units advance to a temple room. The 2nd Dp and final horror unit take a position to hold the back door and fire on advancing troops.
Turn 2 - The Tiger Terminators reach the relic chamber - lightning claws charged and ready, they take a position to hold the hallway vs advancing horrors and flamers. The librarian and her squad hit their blast door with krak grenades, but it fails to open. All other squads advance, but difficult terrain slow their way.
Flamers and horrors advance on the Terminator squad. Fire explodes through the hallways, catching the Terminators ablaze in combusion so hot it melts metal. 4 of the 6 fall. The DP and horrors enter their temple room and the DP sends a massive bolt of chaos across the room to rip open the blast door. In the cavern, horrors open fire on advancing marines (few fall) while the 2nd DP guards the secret door.
Turn 3 - Seeking redemption for their fallen comrads, The Tiger Termintors charge and destroy the flamer unit. Lightning claws returning the vile spawn to the chaos void. The librarian's squad again hits the door with grenades, but it again it stays shut. The cavern units close in and return fire and take out a horror.
The remaining flamer unit moves in and BBQs the reamining terminators. With the Librarians unit still locked out, all other units are free to infiltrate and take positions within the relic chamber. In the cavern, the action heats up as the DP advances out to engage. Chaos fire and the DP assult lay waste into one marine unit.
Turn 4 - The Librarian unit finally blasts open their door, but the defensive position of the deamons force them to hold putside and trade fire for a turn. In the caves, a counter charge of an elite marine unit takes down the DP and the units draw close to their access point.
The daemons trade shots and dig in around the relic to await the final marine assult.
Turn 5 - The cave marine squads over run the horrors and advance on the door. A power fist wielding marine rips it open with ease. The librarain charges the chamber with his elite squad - bolters blasting. They hit a unit of horrors and take them out, closing in on the relic. lite marines pour into the secret chamber room and a 2nd squad, still 10 strong backs them up.
The remaining daemons in the relic chamber open fire on the librarian and her elite guard. Her desperate advance to secure the relic had left her open and surrounded and her team succumbs to the flames. The Prince moves into position to defend against the final 2 squads.
Turn 6 - The Marines assult the DP, but catching a glimpse of their fallen leader must have broken thier spirit. They fail to score a single wound and flee in terror. Completely broken, the Tiger Argent fall back to regroup and the Daemons claim the relic of power for Tzeentch.

It was designed for AD&D, but your free to use it for whatever you want.

Sorry, mis-took it for a similar model Tate had shared with me in discussion on terrain and models.
It was made by two brothers who had a great interest in GW's LotR. They built a really interesting one piece table top model, it had a couple of removable walls and other features. It was for Moria or the same type of environment.

That Moria table is nice, the brothers used to bring it with them to Generations back in Pembroke Pines.

It belongs to Tate's now. It's free to use more often than not.
