Anyone look at Firestorm Armada?

Rulebook costs money, but the game is well supported and better priced.

Rules for Firestorm are essentially the same as Uncharted Seas with just a bit more complexity tossed in because of it simulating space, but core game is same. Uses cards like Uncharted Seas but instead there is just one generic deck instead of each race having a unique factional deck.

The models are nice though some of the early runs of the original 4 races were a bit problematic as they came in multiple pieces and were a pain to put together. They have been redoing and rereleasing the old ships with less parts and in many cases, as single piece resin.

There is also a ground warfare game coming out for Firestorm called Firestorm Invasion.
