Is Sir Gobbles, The Night Goblin Knight ! one of this days i will paint Sir Gobbles, gotta make him colorful like the Bretonian Knight he confusingly tries to imitate.

A mock up for a commission, we'll find out Sunday if its the way he wants them. The painting went quick and was easy on the mind. Its a good thing because apparently the block of blood letters consist of 65 of them.

Looks good. Can you stand painting 65 of anything?

It shouldn't be too bad. The mock up only took about a hour and a half to do so if everything goes to plan, the average painting time should be close to 30-40 mins per one. Over 3 weeks they'll all be done.

I'd suggest you paint 1 up and write down all of the steps. Like this:

Cloak hood:
Purple hood 1:lich purp
Purple hood 2:lich purp 3 1 leather white
Purple hood 3 lich purp 2 2 leather white
purple hood 4 lich purp 1 3 leather white
purple hood liner lich purple 1 leather white 5
brush with color blend

Face:
Rose skin base beast brown
Rose skin base
Rose skin
Rose skin hightlight
Rose skin highlight linen white

Eyes (glowing eyes):
Rose skin 3 goblin green 2
goblin green white 1
goblin green white 2
goblin green white 3
goblin green white 4
.........so on and so forth.

It makes the work really easy to gauge how long its going to take you and what exactly goes into painting them. Miniatures are like cakes, its easier when you have the recipe in front of you. Most minis I paint usually take 50-60 steps and luck has it that the demon only consist of 39 so they go pretty quickly.

how many coats of paint did you put on the eyes? I'm new to painting and i'm actually trying to get help for what i wanna try so yea >_>

put around 7 different colors but i didn't wanna go all out on. Basically I did two fade colors to accent the glow from the eyes and then 5 in the ey and 1 for outside glowing effect. this seems like alot but, its just mixing alittle more white into the paint and applying another color within the previous color.

Dude the fluorescent mushrooms are Mack daddy of painting status! The entire model is fantastic, but the shrooms make it extra special.

Very nice, maybe a little more illumination on the underside of the squig- but very nice

it is illumatied underneath, just hard to see with these angles.

Saw it in person - the "neon-underglow" is ghetofabulous

I painted 56 Plague Marines and 53 Plague Bearers...it can be done. That Blood Letter looks great.

He liked the painting of it, but not the colors. So i have another one I have to paint which i'll probably have up tomorrow.

He wants it brighter?

How much do you guys charge to paint stuff?
