Sunshine WM day

Just want to know whats up with the WM "day" at sunshine. Is it moving to Sunday? Also a Menoth mini was found, if you are or know the owner pm me.

Yes, you heard correctly that it's moving to Sundays. I'm the one that's going to be leading the league as I'm about to go through the Press Ganger application process. I haven't decided what the official starting date is as I'm still figuring out what I need to do regarding league management and the whole nine yards.

I bought a khador starter box and would love a walk through. I think I could get their by 11:00 - 11:30

I know some people would like to play more than once a week so it could be both Sunday and a week night. Most people that play warma also play 40k. If it was on wed then even if no one showed up for wm you could still find a 40k game. I am just tossing that out to see what other people think.

@jspyd3rx: I won't be able to give you a demo game this Sunday as I have a birthday to attend to that takes almost all day.

@Someuberdude: Thanks for the luck, the hardest part for me is just to figure out exactly what I want to do. Is there any other Press Ganger on these boards that I could talk to to get some tips from?

@ShadowMaster: Sunday is the day that I've heard from the majority of my players be fine with. I am trying to get Thursdays settled for Avalon Manga Shop, but that's something still up in the air at the moment.

I'm going to meet Endre for a training game or two next Wednesday the 5th. If anyone else wants to join let me know.

In regards to Sunshine, I have decided to have the Warmachine day to be on Sundays. Sunshine will NOT have a league but will instead be following a slightly modified version of the model that Sunshine runs 40k, meaning that:
- Sundays will be the normal gathering play day, meaning that there will be no league.
- INSTEAD, following a fixed pattern (for example: Every 3rd Sunday of the month), also on Sunday, there will be a Steamroller tournament.

Do note that times and the specific date of when the Warmachine day will officially begin is still to be determined.

Running a league at Avalon Manga Shop has been determined to not work with my schedule. So as of this posting, Avalon's league is a no go.

Wednesdays can be shared with 40k players. Those new players also play 40k and might already have that day set aside. Sunday tournaments is fine every now and then.

Doing Warmahordes on Wednesday is a bad idea. Joel actually got on the last guy's case about having it on Wednesday because of the fact that its 40k night. Also think of the new players. If someone walks in on Wednesday and sees Warmachine being played alongside 40k which game will he go with?

Warmachine that has less players or 40k which has the bigger player base at Sunshine? Obviously 40k because of the fact that more people play it. How many people play a game is always a factor as to whether someone invests into a game or not.

I'm glad Warmachine is now on Sundays.

Sunday is perfect for me i'd be able to get our 3 guys there around 5ish every time. As for playing on weds, joel doesn't care. You get league points for whatever game on whatever day. I've done it and joel knows better than to yell at someone whos gona plop down 100+ bux for a 35 point list lol.

I would be shocked if Joel could even tell the difference between PP and GW minis. Erick and I will also be there this wed the 5th but we get there kind of late around 7:30-8. Just let us know when the Sunday thing is going to start and we will be there for that too.

@Red - It's not a competition. 40k is NOTHING like WM/H. Nothing wrong with someone seeing multiple options one any given night. Plus I think you'd be surprised at the number of 40k guys who switched to MKII. Recent WM/H events at Tate's have had more participation than both Fantasy and 40k 'Ard Boyz, which are big GW national events.

@Sam - I'm a dork and forgot Wed is my anniversary so I moved my training game with Vycem to Thursday night. If you and Erick can push it one night we can play a match.

Unless you'r worried we may loose players to Bloodbowl

LoL we do BB every other thursday. Let me see if this one works for us since we don't have BB.

Tuesday can be shared with 50k players. The new players also play 50k and might already have that day set aside. Sunday tournaments is fine every now and that time.
