Army lists: Official books and PDFs from battlefront only. PDF army lists available on the Flames of War website listed under Official. (This does not include any army lists currently ‘Under Review’.) Everyone that submits a legal list before 6 PM on Saturday the 9th will get 1 extra point.

Scoring: Places will be decided by win-loss. Points will decide ties.

Also will be able to use the book, FW221 Know Your Enemy - Late War - 2012 Edition? It's suppose to come out on June 9th.

Actually I just noticed the book comes out the day before the tournament. Won't be able to adjust my Turning Tide army in time.

Wish the tournament was a week later, would have been awesome for the Earth & Steel and Turning Tide folks.

Know your enemy isn't a book of new armies. It's just a book that lists the stat line for every model in the game up to that point so you can have one huge reference.

They said it was going to adjust some of the rule changes and points value of V3 on the older books. It's still unclear how to handle US Tank Destroyers in Turning Tide because they are listed as with passengers. Are they still recon units when dismounted? Also now I have to take a +3 save when one of my recon TD units get hit, and then a +5 save for the passenger. I think the new book removes that which is a big deal. Also TDs have a higher cost in Turning Tide because of the extra rules they use to have. So will the points finally be lowered to reflect that?

Thats just one example, I'm sure other armies have issues with the new rule book.

They need to fix all of that. Im not fucking buying all of those hardback books again. The only up-to-date books are Red Bear and Grey Wolf. The other books just came out and they change shit all around. Give me a nice big sticker book to update my shit...dont do a GW on us.

Well they said they will release the new book in PDF format for free. The book is just for those who like to collect books I guess? My issue is that now I am going to have to guess up rules because the book comes out a day before the tournament and who knows if Battlefront release the PDF early.

Play with the point values they have now. Not really an issue.
3+ save for recon jeeps, 5+ save for passengers blown out. Passengers are still considered recon.
The new TD rules are far superior to the old rules although having the passengers in the security section is a distinct advantage. It's the only thing I'll miss about the old TDs.

As much as I want to play in this tournament, I was offered an off duty job and I need the money. Sorry but I'm out.

I'm planning on having the tournament. I think I"m missing some people from the list, but I'll have to check with them.

Ironically enough, I am actually in town this weekend in Miami (from Nashville) for a wedding on Saturday and don't fly out till Tuesday. Swinging by the store today and found out about the FOW tourney.

My British are still here in Miami, so I'm going to build a list with them (I might ask to borrow some oddball items Julian if I can since I don't know if I have enough points or not) but for now count me in!

Ok, Dan. My son can't make it, so I'll play his Soviets if needed. All of my British are available.

We now have 8 without me playing.

Missions: I was planning on rolling the dice each round so that it's random.

I'll be at the store around 11:00 to set up.

Can we keep it to only 1 fair fight mission? Those can be extremely frustrating.


Also, I had a change of heart and am thinking about playing Soviets instead (found my old Russian stuff too!). I sent you a PM about it Julian.
