JCs LotR Elves
Hey everyone?
What do you think of my color scheme for my wood elves?

It's hard to tell JC...you need more light...Reflective light is better than direct...not sure how you would go about doing it, but it's hard to really get a good look at it...

Looks good; I can tell you used some blending on the cloak instead of the old drybrush. The base could do with some more work.

Re: JCs LotR Elves
Ahahah, it looked like he was based with some sand in the first pictures. Its your fault for the lack of light!
Now that we can see him better, I'd say the blending is fine, but if you want to make the transitions smoother, you could try an ink wash on top... if you're confident you can get the ink to dry properly. Otherwise you might end up ruining your work.

Re: JCs LotR Elves
Looks good...like the color scheme, too...not all brown and green like normal...I like the blue-green/minty green look (unless my aged eyes are deceiving me on the colors).

Re: JCs LotR Elves
Not bad brother.
If you are wanting better lighting you can try what my wife does. We have a Desk Lamp we use. She tapes paper in a large sheet on the front of the lamp cover so the light is reflecting behind the paper making it glow and then uses the high speed flash with light difusser on her camera to take the pic. There is come photoshop to adjust the light levels of course but always looks good.
