September 14, 2008 - Warhammer Fantasy

Joel asked me to run a WHFB Tournament for his store on the 14th; therefore, I'm asking you folks (since you would be participating) if you'd like to participate.

I'll post up the criteria and sign up in a separate post if everyone is interested.

I am definitely interested.... although i dont know how to play WHFB per say.

I would love to sign up but , when is the Ard boyz 40k tourney ? I signed up for it.

I prefer fantasy, but you can't miss the Ard Boyz... that shit its just too much fun.

Back one week would be better for me as well. Hard to disappear all day for 2 Sundays in a row and I'm playing in the Silver Dragon tourney on the 7th.

Joel's primary concern when I spoke to him the previous weekend is having time for LOTR and WHFB, which is why he asked me to run it in that time slot. I think I'm going to stop by this weekend to speak to him about the tourney.

No one else has posted about this yet, but so far, you two would be able to go at the end of the month, yes?

Would be a terrible ordeal if I rescheduled it and no one could show up anyway because of extraneous circumstances.

Additional query:

Would you folks be averse to seeing Ms. Jerny (my ladyfriend who kept me company last tournament) from playing? She felt bad only because her and I are close, and she didn't want me to be accused of favoritism.

I replied to her that I'm really just there to add up scores, schedule matches and point at passages in the book whenever there's a dispute, and I couldn't commit an act of favoritism unless it was blatant alteration of scores.

What do you folks think about it? My main concern with getting her exposed to the game (through the tourney) is to fill up the spots Chris and Sam left when they moved in terms of Tournament players (same reason I'm coercing Rob to play).

I got no problems with Ogre Lady coming to play. I eat Ogres for breakfast, hopefully before they eat me.

End of the month would be the only time for me though.

1st week, Fantasy at the Dragon
2nd week, ARd Boyz
3rd week, Bills Apocalypse

Edit to add - No problem with your girlfriend playing. We don't argue too many rules in fantasy - that is for those 40k guys (so I'm told).

I stopped by the store a few days back (most recent Friday) and Joel wasn't there, I gave them a means to contact me about rescheduling the tournament but I haven't heard a peep from them yet.
