Water Water Every Where

Well its a lovely Saturday night on the beautiful Miami Beach and what do i do for the next 3hours? Call after call after call.....really, if you see a couple of cars stalled out in front of you, why oh why do you insist on driving full speed ahead into an area where you cant even see THE FUCKING SIDE WALK!!!! Seriuosly!!!!

I mean where is the common sense with people in Miami Dade county.....its just fucking appauling. I mean i know its a huge jump from living in a fucking village where you have a shaman or a preistest but here in the real world cars do not come equiped with a Invunerable save against water.

I am just about sick and tired of it. Why would you go to the Beach when the weather outside is comparable to that of a massive typhoon? Really?

Common sense? Whats that? I mean come one, just because the other guy got stuck, I can make it. And nevermind that there are 4 police cars and a fire truck blocking the road. I can make it through that little opening and then make go around all those people. I'm really in a hurry and the only important person is ME.

Is that what you are talking about? I've got better stories than that. Like the time I was on the scene of a fatal accident. I've got a dead pedestrian laying in the middle of the road with a blanket over him and the street "almost" blocked off. And I still have idiots trying to drive through my homicide scene.

Hey at least someone can level with me. It only got worse last night, some guy calls on-star to get us to come out to him and push his brand new caddy out of the water that he plunged himself into... fucking fuck-head. I swear he didn't want to get his precious Gucci shoes ruined..... like we are a maid service or something.

Oh and yes I got clipped by a fucking car last night as well, i guess the huge ladder with lights doesn't deter some fucking kendall hood-rat from slowing down cause i guess I was in mister important way. You know he had to get his drink on and who was I to get in his way? Good news is that the cops caught him, and that i only got a huge bruise on my hamstring.

Im picking up what your throwing down. Hurricane(Eric )and I used to work at the same station...People in Miami are narrow minded self fulfilling ,ignorant ,assholes. Remember the Hurricane Eric? Literally as soon as the Hurricane died people were out in the streets driving around and taking pictures. Flooded roads, down powerlines and tree's...who cares these ignorant fucks want to sight see and cause us(Police) more headaches when they get into an accident or injured. Then they want to fight eachother when one moron tries to jump the line at a gas station...remember that one Eric?

Miami really is a shit hole. But we've gone on and on about that before.

I had a client in my office who had just been traumatized. (no names of course). She and some friends had gone to the hard rock . One of them became excessively intoxicated, started throwing up and such, and they decided to call it a night. They had to wait to be picked up by their designated driver who was on the other side of the casino, who had to get their car which was parked pretty far away. The bouncer of the bar, seeing a guy who's vomiting and falling down and stuff, tells the friends that they need to leave the club, even though at this point, all this guy s doing is sitting on a chair by the door, half passed out, being fed water by one of his friends. As the friends get up to appeal to the bouncer, somehow a minute later they turn back and the drunk guy is gone !.

They start looking all over for him and can't find him. They get security involved and can't find him. For 3 hours they search and can't find him. What they didn't know was that at about 1:30 am, this guy was hit by a truck about 2 miles down from the Casino off of the Florida Turnpike. He died as paramedics arrived.

Here's the fucked up part. The group noticed he was missing around 1 am, and he was reported hit around 130. There's no way this guy walked out of the casino complex and 2 miles down the road in a half an hour.

Most likely some fucked up asshole picked this poor slob up, maybe from right in front of the bar, threw him in their car, checked his wallet for cash, and when he realized there was none, dumped his ass off on the turnpike in the middle of the night. In fact, when they found the dude, it appears as if he was walking back toward the casino, further evidence that he knew he had to get back to the casino.

Now here these friends thought they were doing the right thing, leaving early, taking care of their friend, having a designated driver. But in the end it doesn't matter for this guy who spent one night partying in Miami (he was from tampa) and died because of it.

Miami for life!!! Who doesn't love this city? It's got Cuban rafters who can't speak English,rude drivers,billionaires,Haitians,a shitty school system,Joel's store,old people who play dominos and smoke cigars all day and a whole bunch of other wonderful people and places all in one city.There's no place like Miami,that's for sure.

Yes, there is another place like Miami... it's called Gehenna, otherwise known as like the 5th layer of Hell.

You know what though I do go out of my way to help the people who are sincere and truly are in a bind. I feel for them, I cleaned up this one domicile-challenged (the politically correct way to say hobo apparently) individual who had fecal mater from his ass to his neck cause he was so messed up cause he got jump by his fellows, even though I didn't have to I helped that guy out because he needed it.

And of course a certain ocean drive owner just wanted this poor guy outta there and away from his hotel.

I mean there is definitely both good and bad in this city, but I really strive to go up and beyond the call of duty for the good ones.

Oh and another thing, I fucking hate, I FUCKING HATE, how you see an old abuela on the side of the road with a flat and looks lost as last years easter eggs and not one person pulls over to help. And when I slow down to help people fucking honk and throw shit. I mean if that was your grandma you'd pull over in a second. Sorry again for the rant.

I call them BUMS. Some are truly destitute, but the majority are worthless lazy pieces of shit looking for a handout.

I do agree with you rokassan that the majority of them are just fine with there situation and couldn't be more content then sleeping under a palm tree all day. But I don't know there situation and how they got there. The scary thing is that its a growing number of individuals like that. Go to Miami Beach any day of the week and walk down ocean drive and I guarantee that you will lose count on how many are just sleeping there under the palms.

But that being the case there are some that truly do not belong on the streets due to massive mental issues..... screaming at the there own reflection in a store front window for one.

But some just want to live off the "grid" i suppose, fine with there situation and in turn do not want to be bothered.

But it does bring any sane person to a point of confusion when you see all these folks and then you look at star island, all the clubs, the billion dollar renovation project for the Fountain Blue' etc etc. Priorities are slightly jaded.

I agree there are a shit load of mentally ill homeless. Their families dont want to have anything to do with them until there's a lawsuit they can make money from..."you shot my poor mentally Ill homeless brother while he was trying to kill an innocent person". You should have helped him instead of shooting him. They got rid of all the sanitariums in the U.S. in the 70's because of buget cuts and its cruel and unusual. Now instead of being taken care of they live on the streets ,have a meltdown eventually and try to kill or kill someone.

My problem is with the "homeless" that pan handle. Most of those Bums make a ton of money begging from decent hard working people. How is it possible that those people giving away the "homeless voice" can stand out in an intersection for 8+ hours but can't go get a job?? I agree with you on the mentally ill homeless people but for the most part those that are pan handling are taking money from people that think they are doing a good dead. Its a shame.
