Field Marshall

I would like to award a status of Field Marshall to the best player. This would be displayed on the trophy board at Sunshine. The criterion be would/should be (this is not written stone);

1 Play numerous battles during the year (to be determined by players), not just play four games in one month.
2 Play other qualfying members in different scenarios, not just run at each and attack. Different tactics should be employed
3 The results and progress would be displayed on the FOW plaque.
4 Defeat other players on the same level.
5 Be victorious in a historical scenario.
6 Finally the Field Marshall announced and displayed on the FOW plaque.

The best of the best would be declared Field Marshall for their respective force (Allies/Axis) and be prominently display on the board. This would decide who is the most qualified general for the past year. Hence this would take a year to determine. With results on display for all who enter the store and look at the FOW plaque.
You all have seen it (those of you that have been at Sunshine). It is the most requested item involving FOW gaming at the store.
Please give me your input as to what want happen on this topic.

I'd be interested in this thing.

This would be good. My only concern is that a year might be too long. I think it would help the player base as well as interest in this idea if the Field Marshall was chosen bi-monthly or something along those lines.

Perhaps this could be chosen at the FOW tournament every other month and announced there as well?

It sounds like fun, my only concern is that I don't play that much at the store. Basically only tournaments. Most of the other games are at my house or someone elses.

Well there's 13 slots for this thing so I say we get an official sign up thing going on.Once we have 13 players we then fight battles to get to the top.We record these battles and at the end of every two or three months we determine who had the most wins and they get on the honor role.

I'd say that those games would count since you'd have at least one witness(your opponent).

I would like that and my guess is, so would Bill, Luis and Stephan. However, Joel might not approve that as I am sure he wants the games played at his store. But maybe he wont care.

If you don't end up counting the games that occur outside of the store, then it would be unrealistic for anyone other than the people who play every sunday to win.

Which is why I think we'd all agree that games at peoples' homes would count for the board.
