December tournament??

So I spoke to joel today. He said that he was going to run November's on the 23 with the theme tanksgiving. You can get details on the FoW website. As for Dec. I tried to pin him down but couldn't. I believe that Jerry said he couldn't run it in december, is that right? So, i am proposing to have one on a saturday in the middle of month. If i can get 8 people, i think he will let me do it. so lets hear some dates and get some commitments!

Well, if I can have any say in when in Dec that'd be great!

The looks of things are that I'll be down what I believe is the 2nd weekend in December. The weekend date I think is the 13th but I don't remember off the top of my head.


Does that sound feasible? It's before christmas weekends and I think most schools will be out by the then. It's also before the 40k Apoc event at the Square so we wouldn't lose anyone to that.

He's blowing Eric off til the last minute like he did to me with the 40k tournament.

I can do Middle of December, but not the 23rd. One day before my b-day and my gf is going to throw a small party for me.

The day before your birthday. If its your birthday weekend why wouldnt you be able to go. Hell my wife would let me go. "I cant go because its 75 days before my birthday. If I go my head will explode.

Is your birthday in November or December? As of now you cant make it to either tournament because of your birthday being the day before. Being you cant be born twice literally only spiritually, we are all confused.

Correct not doing a December tournament.

Does not mean no one else can.

I mean Erik has already offered to run the tournament. Would you be down for playing Jerry?

Bill, you need new glasses. I said, "I CAN do December", meaning I can go to a tournament in December. I can't make it on the 23rd because that is the last weekend before my b-day, which is the 24th (a monday and not a great day for a party since I have to wake up at 5am Tuesday morning). I voted to have the tournament a week later, after Thanksgiving, because I could make it by then.

It's ok, I will join you guys in December if you have a tournament then.

Bill the issue was with his wording. He said that he would be (quote): "I can do Middle of December, but not the 23rd."

The issue I think we all had was that we assumed "the 23rd" meant Dec, when I think he was relating it to Nov.

So in short, he CAN'T play Nov., but CAN in dec.


In other news, does the date I mentioned work or not work for people??

I think we are shooting for the 13th. I got the day off. So, all we have to do is round up 8 people and convince joel to let us do it on a a Sat.

So, Stephan or Luis??? We need a commitment from you guys. Can you guys make it?

Hey Erik is this still a go? If so I'd like to post it on FOW forums. Maybe there's a few guys in West Palm or Naples who might come down for it. Ya never know!

So while I was at Joel's for Tanksgiving I mentioned to him about us doing a Saturday tournament and he told me that he asked Bill to run a 40k tournament on that day.

I don't know what else is going on, but I know Joel hops on the forums since apparently he cornered me for saying something about not budging on the Tanksgiving date (I never assumed it was for malicious intent but apparently it was taken that way, my apologies).

Either way, Erik, whats the gameplan for this thing?
