Max's VC list HELP

Check this list out tell me if it's good (I know it's 2000 just don't have the points in fromt of me.)

It looks solid to me, have a nice mix of cav hitting units and the Black Knight calvary. My only concern is the lack of magic could do some hurting to ya, since you'll want to be able to keep those units at full strength.

What about a Corpse Cart...doesnt it have the ability to let Zombies and Skeletons strike first? Or a Black Coach.
Perhaps a Necromancer...to make more Zombies and Skeletons. Thats what Id do, have a Necromancer who's sole job it would be to raise undead troops. Id put together and paint up a shit load of Zombies and Skeletons and overwhelm me enemy.

its the corpse cart it blows, and clost 100 points the ability is a power leval three spell and within 6 inches anyone with half a brain will dispell it

is it a spell or innate ability? Doesnt it get a shit load of attacks or something.

a bound spell power level 3. it get 2d6 str 2 ws 2 attacks.....

str2...that eats ass. What does bound do?

BOUND, means that is a spell that is attached to an item, but that it can be dispelled like a regular spell when you try to use it, you can only use it during the magic phase and it has a description of "Power lvl ..."

so for example: the itty bitty rign is a power lvl 5 bound item spell. it casts "headbut" but you can stop it going off if you roll a 5+ on a dispell attempt.

The problem with this list is 2 fold.
1. is what scurdi mentioned. you have 2 wizards which would normally be good for most armies, but no Dispell scrolls which will leave you getting powned in the magic phase.

2. You have too many slow and fast elements. Whats the point of taking 3 units of mv 4 zombies when everyone else in your army is rushing down the battle field. Either forget the zombies and buy a unit of Blood Knights or more black knights, or maybe buy some cairn wraiths or something that can keep up with the rest of the army.

Don't take as many fast elements and take more necromancers. Build up your zombie and skelly units, and use the fast elements for flanking attacks with the enemies that are stuck in. use your lycanthropic vampire and vargulfs to go artillery hunting and cause havoc behind enemy lines..

but i have to take zombies to fill my cores... and they are the cheapest....

Well, not being able to take Dire wolves as core anymore definitely screws your fast moving CC army.

With that being the case, I would say make your list cater to the shambling ranks.

use your Knights as flank hitters when the enemy attacks your 30 + zombie chunks.

But then you'll have to take more arcane powers and more necromancers.

hrm.... ok gotta look over the book again then... you think skellies with spears are worth it?

Skellies with spears give you the extra rank (unless your lucky enough to charge) and they fight better then zombies. They are of course, much much more expensive.

Really its about the point of the unit. If the unit's sole purpose is to ferry your vampire into battle and soak up attention, then go for zombies. If they are actually supposed to fight then go for skellies.

It's pointless to give spears to skellies... they are shit warriors.. you only want them to survive so that you can smack the enemy in the flank when they get stuck in with your skellies. Spears just add to the cost, without really making that much more effective at what they're meant to do, bog other units down

Skellies will last longer than zombies because of the 4+ save, and T 3

But they're twice as much !! I'll tell you what, though... Toughness 2 sucks balls. Those guys will get brought down by a bunch of friggin noblars.
