Calendar of Events

Ok guys, a couple things regarding the calendar.

I think I may have gone a little nuts with the November calendar trying to get every store's events and league nights up on there. What do you want to see on the calendar? Just tournaments (1850 40k @ so-and-so's store)? Special events (Bike race, gladiator challenge)? Sales (40% off at some-such store)? League Nights (Clix @ some-such store, 40k at this other store)? Campaigns?

Also, keeping up with all those leagues on the calendar is a bitch.

If you can, I would just take all of the league stuff and just have it up as a sticky in the stores section (or as a sticky for the corresponding game - I.E. WHFB is played at the Square, Sunshine, etc. etc. on 'x', 'y','z' days).

If the Calendar is still packed with dates after that, then we're lucky enough to have a very busy gaming scene. Other events might be as regular (monthly tournaments) but they're more noteworthy than regular league days.

I'd say anything where you can get a GUARENTEED game in is valid - Tournements, Campaigns, Legues, etc.

Open gaming is a crap shoot. You may find someone to play, you may hang out a few hours doing nothing. No need to calendar that stuff.

Sales are good.

I agree with C that we should sticky stuff in the store sections as well.

I see some of you are interested in keeping the League Nights up on the calendar.
How would you feel if a sticky was posted with each store and which nights are their league nights?

I'm all for it.
Put stickies up under the store or game section (in case some games folks play aren't league games at Sunshine or the Square).

I say tournaments, special events, and sales. Anything that's weekly shouldn't be up there.

okay guys I'm going to close the poll this Sunday (11/30). It looks like the preference will be Tourneys,Sales and Special Events with Stickies in store-dedicated forums stating league and campaign days/nights.

Please let me know if this is incorrect.
