Terrain Ideas

Listening to the Iron Agenda Ep. 13 @ work (because I have so much to do) they're talking about building terrain using a lot of materials.

One idea I liked was building a rock wall:
Ingredients:
Plaster of Paris
Legos
Small rocks (woodland scenics ballast stone)
Steel bristled brush

Build a mold from the Legos and fill it with the small rocks
Pour your Plaster of Paris in and let it set.
Open the mold and take the wire brush to the wall and expose the rocks
Base & paint and your done
For some added flave you can add a few "fallen stones" at the base.

Also, for the "fallen leaves" look you can use dried parsley or oregano.

Sounds cool - but I pretty sure Logos cost more than buying terrain.

A small pack of legos may, but if you produce a few of these you have then covered the cost of Legos. You also have more control over how your terrain looks.

I don't know about you guys, but I have two large bins full of legos from when I was a kid. I'm going to have to try this out.

Legos are not cheap. I use them to make molds to make copies of ....
