Firestorm Big Push Scenario
During the month of January we will be focusing on the release of Firestorm
and emphasizing
the fortifications special rules. In order to prepare everyone for the
Firestorm campaign we will be
using The Big Push scenario located on page 220 of the hardback rulebook.
Because of the nature of
this scenario it would be difficult to perform a massive multi-player event
so we offer the following
special rules to make the event more exciting and action oriented.
1. Each player may bring one company worth no more than 1000 points.
2. Once everyone is present the day of the event divide the forces up
between Axis and Allies, or
create two sides as evenly as possible. This event will utilize one 4'x6'
table for every four
players thus creating a 4'x6' with 2 players competing against 2 players.
Event organizers can
distribute any 'leftover' players or create a 4'x6' table for the additional
players.
3. Each side nominates a General of the Army who will speak on the behalf of
his forces. The
Event Organizer will only accept decisions made by the General of the Army
so all players must
communicate their ideas through the proper chain of command.
4. The Axis forces or the coalition side that contains Germans is
automatically the defender.
5. Use all of the The Big Push rules for setting up, beginning the battle
and ending the battle.
Each table will play its own game and does not have to keep pace with the
other tables. Each
table's game will end once either side has achieved its objectives.
Essentially, each table
represents a major offensive against defending Germans. Event organizers can
be creative and
create tables based on Nationalities. For Example, two German players versus
two American
players on table 1 and two German players versus two Soviet players on table
2. No two tables
can share air support, artillery or anything else for that matter. These
offensives are far enough
away from each other where they wouldn't be able to influence the outcome.
6. The General of the Army has one major responsibility which is
establishing which objectives on
each table are the most important. Once setup is complete both the attacking
General and
defending General have 50 Victory Points each to distribute among all of the
objectives on all
of the tables. This represents which objectives are more important to either
take or hold. The
Victory Point values are written down secretly and placed either underneath
the respective
objective or given to the Event Organizer. Each objective must be given a
value of at least 1
Victory Point but the General is free to determine how much each objective
is worth. At the
end of the game the attacking players or defending players will be awarded
their respective
Victory Points for each objective they hold. Please refer to the below list
of rules for further
explanations:
? If any company on a specific table fails a company morale test then that
group of allied
players will automatically lose and their opponents will be considered to
control both
objectives.
? Attacking players must control both objectives at the start of a turn in
order to control both
objectives. If the attacking player controls one objective at the start of
the turn then the
attacking player is awarded their Victory Points for that objective and the
defending player
is awarded their Victory Points for the other objective.
7. When each table finishes the Event Organizer will record which side
acquires which Victory
Points using the following modifiers:
? -5 Victory Points for each company below half strength but still on the
table
? -3 Victory Points for any Hero that was KIA (Killed in Action)
? -1 Victory Point for each company that has no remaining combat platoons
8. Once all the tables have finished their game and all points are
calculated the Event Organizer can announce which side wins.

Re: Firestorm Big Push Scenario
Ok, well it'll be interesting to see if it happens. Looks kinda similar to Tanksgiving, but with a fair bit more organization.

Re: Firestorm Big Push Scenario
i say we place several names on a jar, then get some helpful cuban to pull a name out and nominate that person to run it, said cuban will not be in the list since he has to be a neutral observer.
