New Army???????

Well, I am thinking of starting a new FoW army with my whopping 30 dollars in store credit.
Any suggestions?
I'm leaning towards a StuG Batterie with the Begleit Assault Platoon (tank riders).

Well if you need more stug's theyre hyper cheap on eBay. Since they're in the box set they go for cheap.

Begliet armored squads sound real good.

I got me me more Katyushkas for my Canibal Peasant army with the prize money, just need 2 more for the full 8 battery with loaders that count as double.. BIG FUCKING TEMPLATE !!!

The Stug kompany from Stalisn Onslaught looks pretty good.

I gotta get those Maultiers the have the devestating bombardment rule like the Katusha's.

Germans (big surprise). I'm trying to figure out -what- in particular I want to play - that's the key.

I am really fond of Mechanized forces, they embody the quintessential blitzkrieg assault that marked period warfare's most effective offensives. As a result of that, I'm debating a Panzergrenadierkompanie (maybe a Panzerpioneerkompanie ), or an Aufklärungschwadron.

The Aufklarungs I've seen quite popular outside of the Miami world. I don't know much about them though.

However, the German mech infantry, if done right (with as much mobility as possible) can be quite nasty, particularly with that mounted assault rule (allows you to assault in your half-tracks first turn) makes it a pretty potent force.

I really want to play a few games because I can't seem to budget a reasonable force on paper without feeling like I am missing some sort of vital element. Panzerpioneers feel really awesome on principle but the amount of points you put in a platoon is obscene. I like the one combat platoon option available to the Aufklärungschwadron, and I can take Pioneers in a list like that to flesh out the infantry (plus, it's room to take a few Stuka Zu Fuss' halftracks).

Can troops ride in a Stuka Zu Fuss halftrack?

I like the armoured half track mechanized infantry army... always seemed pretty cool .
