It is the best branch of the armed forces(8 years in the Army). Marines are morons,Airforce guys are pussies and the Navy...well we all know about the Navy. Lets just say their favorite port is in Greece and the marines are their bitches...guarding their boats for months. Come on guys your brain dead but not fruitcups.

Oh yeah almost forgot the Coast Guard(cant imagine why )...their not the real Military. Pulling illegal blockheads out of the ocean doesnt count. Id go with Glorified border patrol.

Coast Guard is not military, there are part of homeland security and before that they were part of the Department of Transportation.

Join the army. You get free housing, medical, and a salary.

Or join the army and get screwed over like so many young men who join with the promise of getting to do other work at various posts, only to get stuck as infantry standing around on some street in the desert.

Army does have great benefits though, just never go in expecting to get to do what they offer you. Affirmative action program limits, too many applicants not wanting to be stuck as base line infantry, and bait and switch tactics. You can have a good run with the army but they are also the most populated branch of the military and getting into any of the special posts in the army can be very difficult.

If you got the aptitude for it and don't care about gung ho cock measuring, you might consider something like the Navy or Coast Guard which offer good benefits, as well and the training programs offered by these branches have much greater utility in the real world.

im army and im infantry first and my mos second and i came in knowing i might get deployed sooooo theres my answer to that.......but i say join still and get a cool job like mine i have fun with my job

Military Occupation Specialty. Basically you apply to different programs once you join a branch of the service. Try to get different "jobs" while in the service. You gotta be accepted in, pass any qualifications, sometimes take tests, etc. They usually have limits on all MOS positions so never any guarantee you can get in.

i got a job at jungle island(thankz scruddi) as a cook but i do everything not related with the animals it seems. like today i had to cook n serve a b-day party then imedtly after went around and installed speakers around the park. And i worked it out so i have weds off for 40k nite thing at sunshine so i hope people still go to that.
