1500 pt WoTR Dol Amroth

Here's a list I drew for Dol Amroth, which is the route I'm thinking of going.

Thoughts? I plan on doing some conversions to make the Foot knights affordable.

I was going to say, that is an expensive list. Lot of metal. But I like it.

Scurrdi, you could use Bretonian men at arms to replace the over price metal.

The average WHFB model is pretty big for the 40mm round base.

I tried with some WE Glade Guard and DE Dark Riders. I can be done, but it is a tight fit. Your guys will look big compared to the WoTR models.

Yeah, my concern though is that the men at arms models won't look nearly as awesome as the regular Knights of Dol Amroth look.

I was thinking of getting some of the Numenor guys and converting them with some green stuff. Then fleshing the unit with some of the regular models.

I considered HE Silver Helms as nobody in WHFB uses them so they can be had cheap for a box of 8.

My concern is the scale vs. wotr models.

I think scale is important guys. Lets not get ghetto with our armies. Keep searching ebay and barter town. Let Luis look for you. He'll use his Cuban scavenging skills.

Next thing youll know Stephan will want to use 40k Orks for his Isengard army.

I think this Numerorian idea will work well. By using them and adding just a little bit of Green Stuff they'll look pretty good, particularly table-side.

I'll try it out and let ya know.

That's what Brian is doing with his Rohan models. Adding green stuff to the helmets and shields (which is really the only differences). That should work.

Brian is using Rohan models for the Knights of Dol Amroth? I thought the horses were much more barded and robed.
