NECA purchases WizKids

Great news!

Neca has purchased most of the assets of Wizkids.
So this could mean a comeback for the Wizkids stuff:

It would be great if they can re-boot BattleMech (playable system) and HeroClix (No Cheesy rules).

They don't have license for Mechwarrior, was one of the stipulations as Topps is keeping it for licensing.

Heroclix is going to continue where it left off with no real changes to the game at all. They got rights to all the other WK properties Actionclix, Mage Knight, and Pirates.

So other words, they have shit.

Heroclix is all that matters, since it was the best selling of all WK games and only one that was doing good and still going since the launch of the clix games many years ago. I doubt NECA cares about the rest of the properties they got.

Maybe they'll bring back Crimson Skies and I can dust off my 'Clix!

Catalyst license it from Topps I believe as well like the Btech universe.

Plans for Wizkids line for the year posted, outside of Heroclix, yea things are looking shitty so far. After the failure of the original Halo Actionclix, they are going to try again? Gremlins game?

Yea Wizkids is pretty much just going to continue and me a heroclix company, doubt anything else they have planned will pan out.... unless one of those coming "huge" properties happens to be the new holder of the Star Wars license....
