Joel's new pad!

So, I guess it's official now, since it's Monday.

Joel has moved into a MUCH larger facility down the strip mall.

If your standing at Joel's old place, he's in the part of the building directly across from that bank going further west (into the strip mall).

Basically he's got about 3 times the space. The product section of the store will remain the same size, but then in another room he's got enough tables for 20 Warhammer gamers with plenty of room, and I mean plenty.

The place was still under renovation when I went there (massive props to Chris and Carlos R. for doing that) but there should never be any issues of running into anyone for anything, unless we cram 40 WHFB players in there or something crazy like that.

Holy crap, that's awesome!

Also, there are TWO CLEAN bathrooms. Storage space for Joel to keep more stock on hand instead of going to his "warehouse".

There will be two sections. One third will be the store front and the other two thirds will be for gaming only.

Better displays for products, no more pegboards. The store front will be seperate from the game room, you will not be allow to bring you backpack's, army transports, cases ect into the store.

All this will be a turning point for Joel.

Its a pretty cool place and when Dan says there is plenty of room in the store for 20 wargamers he means you can still do cartwheels down the center

We figure we can squeeze in about 44people for wargaming and CCGs is a whole nother matter. Hopefully we won't have to squeeze anything for a long time though so we can enjoy the space!

As to the bathrooms there are three! (lol) Men's, women's, and employee's. Now my gf doesn't have to run to mcdonalds

Yeah that place is awesome. Ruf and I popped the gaming cherry last Friday and played a game of 40k. It was like being in a whole new world. I can't imagine anyone bitching about Sunshine anymore. We finally got the type of store we wanted in Miami.

Thats awsone, Joel had mentioned some type of surprise when i was there a couple of weeks ago, i was hoping it would be something like this !
I have to find some time tomrorow to pass by and play some 40k or fantasy. Been so busy lately with freaking finals and bullshit from work.

I will be there today with my pirates + WotR/LoTR. Looking forward to checking it out!

Without question this is the biggest store in Dade County. And Joel intends to exspand his product line.

With this economy, I'm sure he got a great deal on the new place.

He got a very good deal. The original place was considered prime property while the new one isn't.

Yeah. I'm going to try and come down this saturday with my black templars perhaps or BFG if I can get a game in I think.

Yeah, I'm thinking about going on Friday with a couple of folks and seeing if we can't play while the infamous magic players play!

I ask him today he says we can now play on Fridays as long as we are willing to put up with outbursts from the Magic kids.

Take it from a decade long Magic player. Magic players are a special kind of dork. You just have to now how to separate the annoying I'm-better-than-you-so-I-should-always-beat-you crybabies from the regular standup kind of dork. Just takes a little practice.

There is way more gaming room than at Tate's. Think of more than twice the room of the old store purely dedicated to the gaming area plus a seperate bay the size of the old store for product. Awesome! : )
