If there was good, cheap food available in Sunshine, would you buy it?
A Food Vendor at Joels?
So,
What would you guys think if someone started offering things like Baked Goods, Sandwiches, Salads, and other items like that on events or busy league nights (like Wednesdays)?
Just to clarify, Joel isn't planning anything, but I have an idea so I wanted to see what people thought about it.
Gimmie your thoughts and feedback!
If we had something like that that was reasonably priced, would you buy from it? Made to order sandwiches and stuff like that?

Re: A Food Vendor at Joels?
Seems incredibly difficult to pull off. I'd really have to see what kind of food is being offered/prices because that makes a world of difference.

Are you talking like just someone bringing in a basket of food? A lunchero truck? Or food sold in store?

Re: A Food Vendor at Joels?
More will be revealed later, but it would be competitive pricing (not crazy expensive) and about 70% would fall under the 'healthier' foods option, just, tasting better.
And yes, baked goods would be there.

Re: A Food Vendor at Joels?
Diosamblet, are you talking about the fake Italian restaurant or the real Italian restaurant.
The fake one is a greater distance. The real one is actually closer now. They have reasonably priced sandwiches, and other healthy food. Everyone (myself included) has rated them excellent.

Re: A Food Vendor at Joels?
When I was there on Thursday and Joel said he was going to start selling some food. He bought a toaster oven ad said he was going to start selling hot pockets and other such things.
Re: A Food Vendor at Joels?
Where would he store the food or serve it for that matter? I say vending machines...in the gaming area of course.

Re: A Food Vendor at Joels?
Candy bars, red bull, and soda are all good ideas.
Having people start cooking up stuff in there is a bad idea - it's not ventilated for that and the whole place will start to reek.

Re: A Food Vendor at Joels?
There is also certain rules that businesses have to follow depending on how food is being handled and what kind.

Re: A Food Vendor at Joels?
MicroWave yes, but a toaster oven?
Kyle is right, there are restrictions on food prep. Anything you can cook SEALED in a microwave is permitted, outside of that, I believe you need a permit.
But I could be wrong.
Joel still has plenty of room to store simple food stuff, if he just get organized.... ha, ha, ha

Re: A Food Vendor at Joels?
Hot pockets would be rather... lols is the only word that comes to mind. But then again I'm not sure what exactly to expect, there's alot of ominous smoke floating about this subject- hell, I'd go as far as to say the topic is left more in the dark than rulings in codex: tyranids.

Not just the rules itself, but permission is generally required by the leasing office of the property where food is being prepped, sold or served.
