June 4
• Club Royale 40k Team Tournament
Teams will consist of three members each. Each member brings their own 1500 point army. You will play four one-on-one games versus other teams over the course of the day. The team that accumulates the most battle points at the end of the day will we be rewarded with lots of loot!

• Lord of the Rings
We will have up to 10 tables (20 players) open and the top two finishers will earn their spots at Vegas in 2011.

LOTR will be 350 points skirmish.

• Blood Bowl
There will be a big Blood Tournament so bring your favorite team and show us what you’ve got.

June 5 & 6
• 40k GT, 2000 points
There will be up to fifty tables (100 players) open and the top two finishers will earn their spots at Vegas in 2011. All current 40k Codices are legal.

• Fantasy GT, 2250 points
There will be up to fifty tables (100 players) open and the top two finishers will earn their spots at Vegas in 2011.

Sarasota is located on the west coast of Florida and is home to the likes of Stephen King and other well known celebrities. This is a great place to bring your family for an extended vacation… you are less than two hours from Disney World!

National Tournament Invitations
The top two overall players from the LoTR, 40k GT and Fantasy GT will receive invites from Games Workshop for the Nationals in 2011 in addition to our other prizes. If one of those players cannot attend, the player with the next highest overall score will receive the invite. If a player has already received an invite from another event, then his invitation will be passed on to the next person as well. The National tournament will be held in Las Vegas in 2011, at the end of the first Indy GT season. The only way to attend this tournament is two earn an invitation by taking one of the top two spots at one of the independently run tournaments.

Rules
We are very strict about the rules and want everyone to have a great time. There are no exceptions to any of the rules listed below:
• All models in your army must be painted and have finished bases. Models that do not make the minimum standards may not be used. Bringing an unpainted army doesn't just mean a zero in painting. It also means you don't play.
• All models must be WYSIWYG, or pretty darn close to it. A clever conversion that skirts the line, but draws applause from your opponent is cool. "My red bolt pistol is a plasma pistol" is not.
• Part of WYSIWYG is using the correct models: "I'm using Bloodletters on big rocks for my Blood Crushers because I don't want to shell out the cash." isn't acceptable. "I hand sculpted all my models" is probably is fine, assuming some minimum sculpting skill and they look like what they should represent. If you have a question email with pictures.
• It's a GW sponsored tournament. A preponderance of your army should be GW models, or converted using GW bitz.
• Base size: Models should be on the proper size base, compared to newer models of the same type. All terminators should be on 40mm, all blood Crushers should be on 60mm round, etc.

It's the first time but quality people are involved and their will be excellent prizes. That team tournament looks like alot of fun. Even if you mostly play Fantasy it gives you a chance to play 40k also.

Hey Brian I'm down to do this as by that time i will have been at my new job for about five months already and will have everything secured and running in the craft beer world! heh

Can you confirm if they are playing LoTR SBG or WoTR?

Caesar the beer usually flows at these events. I'll be abstaining mostly to help out my usual poor performance but we should definitely bring some of the good shit to celebrate with each night.

LoTR usually refers to the old skirmisher strategy battle game (SBG)

WoTR is War of the Ring rules (released 4/2009)

As of July - GW has replaced LoTR with WoTR as their 3rd main tournment ruleset.
WoTR 'Ard Boyz (round 1) is Feb 6th.

Wow, this sounds like it would rock. I'd love to go to a huge tournament like this, instead of the small stuff that happens here at the LGS. I'll have to check my calender, but I'd definitely be down for this. And I wouldn't even have to bust my ass painting because it's still pretty far off. Team thing sounds cool, combining all war points, it sounds like there's plenty of time for practice and battle strategy. Nice. I'll be down for 40K and Fantasy.. as long as I paint my rats up quick.

Just so you know the 40k and Fantasy tournaments are happening at the same time. But you can still hit up the team tournament on friday.

Yeah, I figure I'd hit the 40K team tournament and then hit the Fantasy Tournament on the weekend. Still have some painting to go for 1500, but I'm sure I"ll finish it all up by then... on both fronts.

Requires all painted models? Guess Josh isn't going.

Btw, what counts as completely painted? 3 different colors? Because I don't want to turn my black templars into Rainbow Templars =P

I'd assume that painting is the standard 3 color painting. I think I'm covered for three colors, although sometimes I don't know that three colors is necessary for the affect you want, but that should work. A 1500 point army for me probably won't be tough, just need to paint up my DKoK guys to bring more troops... wonder what the missions will be.

what game is @ 1500 pts i see that the 40k GT is 2k and the Fantasy is 2250.

The team game for 40K is each guy brings 1500 points worth of an army and the three guys play all day tallying their scores at the end of the day to see what team won overall. That's the only one of the 40K tournaments I'd play, other then that I'd jump at the Fantasy 2250.

Matt, what do you play in Fantasy?

We just had a tournament at Joel's last weekend, coulda used ya there!

I was playing at the tournament at Tate's. I play Skaven for Fantasy. Really just started playing Fantasy but eh, I'll still give the tournament a shot. Might as well, it's not that expensive and who knows, might get lucky.

Oh duh I saw you playing Skaven. Really, no 5 game 40k tournament?
That would be cool if you and two of the other guys from Tate's got a team going on for this.
