pig iron productions

hey since the new year is coming fast and i have some money from christmas i was planning on starting a guard army and using a mix of gw and pig iron parts to make a custom guard army and was wondering if anyone has done this or if you have seen anyone with an army like this and how it looked on the playing board

Pig Iron heads are the only way I'd play Imperial Guard. They look so much better, and one of the helmet types you can get look like the Doom marine.

As for some pictures, here's a few:

i love the way that the guardsmen came out with the pig iron production head, i was a bit hesitant about buying the heads for the guardsmen wondering wether it would transfer well but they fit well and they seem appropriate size compared to the bigger heads of the standard guard, I am going to side with the soviet looking heads because i plan on going for a russian guard force thanks for the pictures

No problem. You'll have to file their necks down a bit to fit on the bodies, just so you know. It's not a huge thing, and it's really worth it.

that shouldn't be a problem then for me I was planning on making a spetsnaz feel to it so using only vets as my infantry selection

Oh no, those aren't mine. He asked for pictures and I had a few lying around in my 40k folder. I can't paint nearly that well.

Never-the-less, those metal grate bases are awesome.
