We currently have 8 committed, plus myself. I expect at least 1 optional to show and so we will probably play 5 on 5.

I was planning on merging 4 of Joels tables into a big map with multiple deployment zones for each side.

If enough peeps show early, then we will adjust. Either adding 2 more for 6 or breaking into 2x4 for 2 large games.

I'm scrapping the roaming monster idea as there will be plenty of models on the table to fight.

What is the final say on points per player? 1000 or 1500?

No duplication of Fortunes/Fates, but one each?

There is no giant model, so the base size in unknown

I'm not sure how well using Joels tables will work Bill. I don't know if you've been there recently but he put elevated borders on all the tables. While they look much nicer, it pretty much makes it impossible to put them together. If you want a larger table you would have to put the 2 long card game tables together.

I don't know if the 2 long card tables are big enough so let's go with plan B and use your tables Mike.

We can fiddle with it to make it work. I also have several folding tables that make a 6x4 if I need to bring them.

I suggest 1000 pts. With this many people it will be big, and with players having a smaller point size, we won't have any many duplicates.

I rather play 1500 points, if someone on a side cant make 1500, then one of his partners could compensate for the difference.
Someone mentioned they had a Minas tirith city ?? it woud lbe cool if he brought it.

Actually there will be two Minas Tirith city sets.

1500 points per player - 9k per side. No duplications of EHs or LFs.
1 UNIQUE Fate/Fortunes per player.

We will use a big board, but we also have a limit to space so expect to deploy in stacks. Expect @40% terrain coverage of various types.

Any formations that can't "At the Double" are probably best for defense.

Remeber - 1 artillery formation per player gets to use the ambush rule.

I have assigned everyone to a team, but we may adjust depending on actual attendence.

Plan accordingly.

BTW... maybe we should only deploy a portion of our models to start and the re-enforce later. Maybe even have strategic objectives points that need to be held to bring out re-enforcements ?

Considering the Epic scale of it, having reinforcements might not be a bad idea. Having so many units out at the is going to look like a train wreck IMO. Then again how insane do you guys want this too be?

I'll go with whatever you guys want, but If we are having a capture and hold scenario, reinforcements would be a great idea I think.

This could help with the 'ard boyz tourney that is coming up in Feb.
Give you some ideas of what to do and what not to do.

I'm down for whatever, because my armies are always tiny. The only other person to make an army smaller then me was when Eddy played his elves, and he actually was smaller then my army.

I plan to design the map so that everything fits and is not packed in.

If it looks tighter than I expect, we can certainly use the reinforcement idea.

That is incorrect. 'Ard Boys is 2K lists. You can view the documentation on the GW site.
