Looks like the wish for GW to collapse and die a fiery death are not coming any time soon. The evil empire trugs on!

Yay! If gw dies so will warhammer. So, it's nice they are staying. Let's hope with an increase in profits they won't have any more ridiculous price hikes again!
Re: GW Making Big Money, Gamer Rage Rising
GW already stated that they intend on rising prices on a annual basis, so you will not see relief in the cost of their products. Eventually they will price themselves right of the market, but will refuse to accept this until they go out of business.
GW is still in trouble, they need to maintain the current trend to survive.
It would be great if they just ran GW properly, I guess that is asking to much.
Reward bad behavior, then you will get more ass-fucking.

Re: GW Making Big Money, Gamer Rage Rising
GW has always raised prices almost yearly, that is normal really, they just don't do flat out price hikes on all products like some think. Some hikes are more noticeable than others though with larger amounts of items. Ironically they also every year tend to drop prices on bunch of items as well though it's usually ignored as being on non important figs or basically that gw has raised prices on more stuff than decreased.
GW is not in trouble, things looked dreary for them around 07 when they were losing money back to back and things looked like they were just gonna bottom out eventually, but the past couple years they have been posting profits, even when with increased prices and global economic issues.
There is no end goal for a large company, year to year profits is all that matters to them and keeping the investors happy. This news especially is a big boon for GW beating expectations and stock prices are up, if they can keep up the momentum they have had the past 2 years, things will have turned around well for them.
They aren't as high up as they were in 2004 when they reached their peak, and probably won't reach that high again with the heavier market competition, but they have stopped the bleeding and are now back to making money.
I would wait and see about 'pricing themselves out of the market' since it's been said for almost a decade now and yet to happen. Course with majority of the rest of the industry also raising their prices due to material costs, I think gamers aren't noticing as much the price changes.

Re: GW Making Big Money, Gamer Rage Rising
The $50 Hellhound I just bought came on two small sprue frames with no real left over bits. The last Hellhound kit was four sprues and some pewter.
This should be a good thing because they can cut the price. Why am I paying $50 for two sprues.
Yes, plastic is more expensive to make this year, but they cut out all the pewter, which is much more expensive.

I'm cool as long as the universe they created doesn't die out... which would be inconceivable at this time, because their copyrights would probably be purchased by another company.
