White primer
Can anyone recommend a white spray primer that does NOT suck ass? I've gone through three different types and they all just end up skunking or otherwise screwing up. South Florida humidity doesn't help but there's got to be something that works.

Re: White primer
I may not be a award wining master painter, but would thing I can state...
I've primed a lot!
And hands down the best primer out there is Krylon flat black or white.
It has it all, quality; quantity and price.
What I would normally use with three cans of the cheap $1 crap, only took ONE can of Krylon (meaning square footage).
The finish is the best I have seen so far, superior to any other finish.
And the cost is around $2, may be $3 dollars. I have not priced it recently.
And the Krylon has the easy spray button and believe it helps a lot!
GW is the worst deal. Low quality, little square foot coverage, and way, WAY overprice.
The dollar can crap at any DIY store has better quality then GW (meaning it is okay), but poor square foot coverage. But it can make up for in cost. For the price of ONE can of GW you can have 12 cans of the generic brand.
The months of November through February are the best for priming in South Florida. You can do year around, but I would construct and then prime all of my models during these months for best results. Don't even think about if it is a cloudy day (about to rain).

Re: White primer
Anything from GW is absolute shit. The primer at home depot gives you a better effect for less cost and greater value because you prime more with it. The best primer I've ever used and use today for extreme detail models is Tamiya Fine Surface White Primer. The only place I've found it in South Florida is Warrick's hobby shop.

If you're looking to prime on a budget I'd go with Armory white primer. Make sure to shake it well...really well and don't prime with it during the day time because Florida is hot and you'll end up with these little holes in you prime.

Re: White primer
I second krylon and Tamiya, but avoid Armory! Sorry, but quality is spotty with armory. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes it looks like your minis are made out of orange peels. It's one of the worst primers I've ever used.

Re: White primer
I use Krylon black with the cool nozel thingy that lets you spray sorta in flat waves.
Also the Flames of War Army Painter stuff was not bad but I did do a sorta light base coat of Krylon first
