Hey Bill should we create a Board game sub forum ?

I know we've had board game interest for a while and I know that there are a number of players out there who are avid boardgamers, including yourself.

What say we all ?

Yeah, I second Diosamblet's question. I love board games, but it's not like we can talk strategy, and the board game players who actually play at Sunshine don't really come on these forums (other than TheLimey).

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the idea, but I can't be for something without knowing its purpose. Are people maybe going to write reviews about board games?

Well it can serve a number of purposes.

The first obviously is to talk about games that we've really liked, why we like them, and what to expect when you play them. Sort of like a game review forum, so that people who would be interesting in purchasing it would have a heads up.

Second would be to discuss strategy and rules questions. Endre, you can absolutely talk about strategy if the game is complex enough.

Bill, Erik, Phill, Luis, Henry and I played a game of Twilight Imperium a couple of weeks ago and I was absolutely hooked.

When I went onto the forums for the game at Fantasy Flight and at board game geek.com, I was surprised to see such a large amount postings on the game, it's mechanics, strategy, and rules.

So there you have it. There are lots of us that play board games, I think, so maybe it would be worth it. It's not like it's any more waste of space then say Battletech or Warmachine.
