Just picked up the book with a box of minotaurs (which look super cool).

I have no clue of how the game works! So I come to you guys with questions!

A) What is the dedicated fantasy day?
B) Is the new book any good? I will play them either way just cause they look so awesome!
C) Who is willing to teach me?! :p

Thursday is the new fantasy game night, but Sunday is the traditional day that most people play at Joels (and Tate's).

No solid idea on the new book - as it's only 2 days old.
Looks like a hard hitting, low defense army. Some of the magic is interesting. Core chariots are nice. Cheap skirmishers for core are also nice. If you have the option to run minotaurs as core, that would probably work nicely.

Anyone who posts here would teach you how to play. Going from 40k to fantasy is much harder than the reverse (IMO). Read up on movement, charges, and line of site. Those have the biggest impact.

Yeah I noticed there is not much armor in the book. But all the big things have super high toughness (atleast in 40k it would seem, not sure how good t6 is in fantasy) and what seems like plenty wounds.

Honestly looks like tyranids in fantasy form (some of the "large target" units in the book have a Trygon-esque statline lol)

But I have been itching to find out, there is literally a character with a 1+ armor save....is it possible to fail that?

1 is always a fail, so yes - you can fail a 1+ armor save.
T6 is VERY high

T6 is basically the highest you can get from a living thing (war machines have T7 usually) without adding rare magic items.

Do you live/play closer to Tate's or Joel's?

Yeah, you have to rethink your entire thought process when your switching into Fantasy. Not everyone's got a gun, much less some version of a Lascannon.

Bill and Neal pretty much summed it up though, just see who is around on those days and go from there!

Josh if you want, I have an entire Ogre army ready to go with my fantasy noob ass running it. I've played 1 game and thus suck as much as you. If you want, I'm down to go through growing pains with you. Thursday or Friday are the usual days I'm there with the giant Ape.
