Well if that is your main issue, recon units would be of course what you want.

My HQ and the 3 combat platoons are Recon Panzer II L's.

If your taking Air Support then I don't think you need the AT guns. Maybe some heavy mortars or nebels for the 180 points would give you a nice artillery base to take advantage of all of that recon removing the GTG.

Brummbars are excellent for killing dug in infantry. Thats what they were designed for...and leveling buildings.

If I drop the Panzerknacker on the Aufklärungs Platoon I can very easily exchange the PaK40's for a Nebelwerfer Battery of 6 Rocket Launchers.
You think the PaK40 and Air Support is too redundant?

Yeah, originally I took Sporadic Air Support and had StuGs in the place of Brummbärs. The fact my army really shines at the 16" mark as I can strip GtG and the such, the Brummbärs feel like a logical choice for an Assault Gun.

If you have air power and Brumbars, I don't think you'll need the Pak40s.
How much are Nebs? Can't you just drop the AA platoon and fit them in that way?

Nebelwerfers are great. Get a battery of 6 if you can.

165 for 4 guns, 30 for each additional gun. 225 for the 6 gun battery.
