Which army?

Hello everyone! As my Skaven horde is already quite large(5,000pts) I've been thinking of starting a new army. The ones I have listed are the ones I'm considering at the moment although I'm open to suggestions. I wouldn't start a new army until my birthday(September 13th) as I don't have too much $. So your job is to convince me why one or the other is better/cooler. Thanks in advance for the replies.

I may be wrong, but I think the Dark Elves are next in line for a makeover.

Why not start with a fresh army that has a new rule book and new models..? that as far as I know, only 1 other person plays.

My second choice would be Beasts of Chaos, since they are also uncommon and will require you to step up your painting skills to move away from rank and file and have to paint larger creatures.

I agree with Stephan on both of these items, though more Skaven is always a fun thing!

I mean comeon, you don't want to field like 10k points of Skaven!!!

But yeah, Beasts of Chaos would be an awesome army to see on the field, and a good challenge in change of tactics for you (probably similar to your ninja army)

2 things against Beasts of Chaos:

1. You'll end up painting even MORE brown, unless you go for an alternative paint scheme like black or albino beastmen.

2. The rules are not updated. As written today, when you charge or get charged by an enemy unit, your herd ranks up as wide as the enemy. This sometimes means you rank up 4-wide and you won't get a rank bonus. I heard a lot of people have shelved their beasts armies for now because of this.

Dark Elves or Daemons of Chaos would be a very different army, I'd choose one of those!

Hopefully, when they redo the list you can take Slaaneshi demons in your list...as well as some cool monsters.

There are lots of rumors on Warseer that DE won't be getting as many sculpts redone, which kinda sucks, since I think the current onces are god awful.
