New to WH 40k. Where to play?

Hey everyone. I'm trying to get into WH 40K. I wanted to know where to go in the Dade/South Broward area in order to actually witness a few games before diving into a game. (I live in Miramar.) if anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

I'm currently reading the rulebook, CSM Codex, and building a small CSM Word Bearer army. My army choice so far is based only on the rulebook descriptions, rules, and aesthetics since I have never played or even witnessed a game played.

Any suggestions/questions are, of course, welcomed.

Being in Miramar you're kind of in the middle between two stores. Sunshine Games in Miami, Bird Rd.

And Tates going North in Lauderhill by Commercial. Tate's is a nicer store, usually pretty busy with GW gaming on Sundays.

Is there a specific day 40k is played at Sunshine?

Tates is a great place to game. Beware of their evil organizer Brad! He will turn you into a fluff ball and take out all the competitive player in you. Otherwise the store is awesome. Come to Sunshine too, we'd all love to see you!

Thanks for the info! I actually did go to Sunshine last night. Brian and Andrew were nice enough to let me watch their game. I definitely want to go to Tates but I'm not sure I can make it on Sundays...well at least not during Football season.

I had to buy a new CSM codex last night since the one I was reading was out of date. I have to finish modeling a small army so I can start playing soon. I'm creating my own color scene so I hope no one is strict on color meaning/classification.
