Dark Eldar Wracks

Screw it, I'm not waiting around for GW to release official models, I want Wracks NOW.




Three of them I'm working on currently. Center model is an Acothyst (the sergeant). Model on the left is pretty much done. Empire Flagellant body, with Dark Elf Corsair weapons and Space Marine backpacks with those round vent-things cut off. Basic head will be from Chaos Warriors, with the horns and crap removed. The Acothyst's mask, I have no idea where it's from, I got it from Nate. Still working on acquiring the necessary bits, have some cool ideas planned for the next couple models.

Looks excellent, except for the one model were the head is really oversize.

It's not actually a full head, it's a mask put over a regular guardsman's head. I still like it, though.

Overall it looks better then what was available (older version Dark Eldar).

How many in the unit? Do you have all of the components?

Hope to see the finished product soon. I am kinda partial to DE, it was my first army.

Planning on two units of 9, with an HQ joining each unit. One's an acothyst, and another's carrying a liquifier gun (template weapon, sprays acid, was called a Destructor in the old codex). I've got all the bodies and most of the regular weapon bits I want, still waiting on the heads and some special weapons.

Status update!


Three new Wracks, with the guy on the far right being one of my original models with his head, finally. Thanks to Roy for setting me up with some Hormagaunt bits, I've got enough to make two more like that, which is what I was going for.

This also brings up another request: these last couple of guys have exhausted my supply of Space Marine backpacks that I've been cutting and shaving down to make.... uh.... Wrack Packs. So if any of you guys have extra Marine backpacks lying around, even Black Reach ones, like I've been using here, I'd appreciate any you could send my way~

They look great, but kinda out of character. More like some version of Black Templars.
