When you won what was the fine print man???

Brad (Tate's) and I were laughing that I should be Ok as long as I didn't get 6 boxes of archers.

They sent me 96 (equiv of 6 boxes on the nose)

Can someone explain the differences between the regular plastic KoTR models and the Grail Knights?

The pictures look almost identical. Is it just metal?

They have capes(a bit of greenstuff) and have grail icons on the sheilds and what not.

If your going to convert them i would advise the following. This is what i did for dans, i fould all of the flat helms he had, glued them all to be armed with lances. Musican and Standard are done as normal(You dont need a champ model because everyone counts a champ) File off any basic icons, glue to steeds, then take a liberal amount of greenstuff, attach some of the backs of the knights to make it look like the capes are flowing in the wind. I would also advise you not to make them fur clocks but it would want a little detail, feel free to model a little fur at the part around the neck of the model. Allow the green stuff made cape to go down on to the steeds. I made dans in length about 1/2 in. I would also advise keeping the shields for last. Paint the model then able the sheilds. i hope this helps bill. If anything call me and i can explain better


and 96 archers are not bad. All you need is a mage here or there and a trib and your good. You can convert a hero/lord from the knights you have.

Wait, thats what they sent? You've got to be joking. Not that its a bad prize for a free tourney, but really? Really? I hope you at least got to pick the army. Not even a maiden? The green knight? Grail relique? I would tell you to tell them to go fuck themselves, but you could sell it off on eBay and actually get what you want.

WOW.. they prob had all that Bret infantry collecting mold and wanted to get rid of it. Im still waiting on my GENEROUS voucher for placing in the Semis..

Yeah - that's what they sent me. I sent an email and told them I was disappointed. They said they were sorry to hear that, but offered no resolutions.

they only do it this way. I found out from a friend who won a few years ago. if that range has plastic you get plastic.

Grats on winning tho. Jut throw it up on eBay and get what you want afterwards.

I have a buyer agreement for the 6 battalions at 75% or retail value. He wants to pay by cashier's check, so I need to wait and see if it arrives, but they are basicly sold.

I still have 2 boxes of Pegasus Knights available.

I'm also in correspondence w/ GW about sending me some more items to allow me to make a legal list. He finally threw the idea out there and I swung for the fences.

I requested a lord, bsb, questing knights, and a grail reliquae (to use with converted men at arms). Let's see what they say or do.

If I get them, I'll return the check and build it out.
