Orcs Boyz weapon choices

How do you arm your Orc Boyz? I have an old regiment box. With it I could go hand weapon and shield
or spear and shield, or maybe two hand weapons.

depends on their role......

If your running an all orc build where they are used for cheap ranks, then you want HW/Shield for the 6+ and parry bonus to negate some damage.

If your running them as Big Uns! in a mixed army (where NG/gobos take the fodder role) then I'd go double hand weapon for the extra attacks.

Safe move is to build half and half so you can play them with both options. As long as the front rank is accurate, you'r legal.

Don't underestimate spears.
With the new choppa rule applying to all weapons the spear becomes a pretty damn good choice... escpecially if you think you might get bogged down in prolonged battles.
