The Summoning '08
I heard we have a gaming con coming in October with a 40k tournament, anyone know much about it? Do we need to pre-register or just show up?

Re: The Summoning '08
I believe there's a sign-up on the Silver Dragon Square forums. Don't hold me to that though, I haven't been paying too much attention to the 40k events anywhere as of late.

Re: The Summoning '08
I know it's been a while since this was posted, but thought I'd update it, in case anyone has missed it...you still have about a month to sign up.

Good luck to those of you who signed up. It's in Coral Gables, so shouldn't be too far for most of you. It's getting cold here (in the low 50's last night)...I miss the sunshine and warmth!

I wanted to sign up but the tournament has been filled up for a long time now, unfortunately. Ah well. More time to paint my army.

Re: The Summoning '08
I heard it sucked.
The tourney was run in a shoddy unprofessional manner, there where no unique missions and the prize support was under par.
let me know if I am mistaken...

Re: The Summoning '08
The event was kinda a flop because half the people that signed up didn't show. From speaking to the players ( i was at the bar most of the afternoon) they liked the prize support, because izzy kept the same prize support even though only half the people showed up. I didn't play but ya it could of run a bit smoother like any tourney.
Pros-BAR!!!
Cons- Lack of players

Re: The Summoning '08
I was drunk out of my mind that day. Therefore, was unable to attend. I would try to make it next time. But, I think they have to make it a little more enticing!
-Needs: more cash flow, terrain, more free drinks, more cowebell.
-Less: shitty player allocation, entry fee.

That and they were closed to new players months in advance.
