First mission will be objective based mission with Table Quarters. Night fighting rule in effect until one side rolls a six at the beginning of their turn starting on turn two. Simple twist on regular mission. This is to represent a first strike invasion on key points.
Next mission, titled Black Crusade in BM book. Kill point mission with modified pitched battle deployment. Modified with deployment being 9" from center halves. Special Rules are War Without end: Any unit that is completely destroyed is returned to play at full strength and placed in reserve. It will arrive with other reserves as normal. Note that Kill Points are scored each time a unit is completely destroyed, so if a unit was destroyed, returned to play, and destroyed again, then the opposing side would receive 2 kill points. Also, all non-fearless units (on both sides) have stubborn and preferred enemy universal special rules. This is to represent both sides going all out on each other at the peak of battle. An HQ is the only exception; if he dies, he stays dead.
Last mission is Clash of Heroes. In this mission a named character may only be killed by an attack made by the opposing named character. If a named character is slain by any other method, they are left standing with one wound remaining." If an army has no named character HQ, then any single model HQ is fine. This is a victory point mission and the only points that count will be from kills that your HQ made. For this mission deployment will be from short table edges and 9" inches from center.

I have tried my best to make these modified missions as simple to understand as possible. I will be in store Wednesday if anyone has questions or wants to try these missions out. Feel free to ask anything.

This week though, I will be posting missions and deployments. Currently reading through the Battlemission book. The one mission that will make it is Clash of Heroes. Of course, it wouldn't be particularly enjoyable to drive down to miami early- only to auto lose the first round and only play 2/3 of the games.

Please, what was that template bomb your hq dropped on me. Also, any unit can bring the hero down to one point. Also, the reason I want to put up missions early is so you can tailor your list. Game is still three weeks away.
What do you guys think of a sidebar for tourny. Just an idea; would it help? We all grow weary of same old missions. I hear all of you saying the same things. So don't crucify me before trying it, just like with kill teams.

I don't remember playing you with Yriel. I've used him a couple times in the past. He isn't good. Especially with 5th ed codexes around.

Yea, all the people pwnd remember playing you, hehe. This also isn't an attempt to bring muscle boy out of his hiatus by uberring up meph. For me he usually dies a lot from mass troop attacks or tied up. I still am having trouble playing him. I think only because my opponents are not easy push overs. I won't be playing in the tourny, so nonmeph from me. For clash of heroes, just tie him up while your hq does their thing. Like I said, you have three weeks to get your list together and feel free to come in on Wednesdays for practice. I will be there all day and if you are new, I can help with your game.

Yep, a bunch now show up about around 8:00 on Wednesdays. Seem like a genuine great bunch of guys. Joel did tell me that someone stopped playing because his girlfriend made him. After 3x marriages, I can tell you that someone who truly loves you won't make you stop doing the things you like and mak you feel awkward for doing them.
