Miami Local Warmachine & Hordes?

Any local / Miami-based gaming besides the Sunshine events going on? I've been on hiatus for a while (1+ year since playing) and wouldn't mind an occasional game or league/campaign play. Monthly maybe at the Silver Dragon?

Right now we don't have a set location nor a set day of the week. I've been playing with a friend about twice a week at the Dragon. There seems to be quite a bit of interest, it's just that we need to decide where and when we want to have weekly games. I will be playing at Sunshine this Thursday around 6PM, but I could be there around 4PM, if someone would like to get a game on earlier.

I say we do monthly tourneys and rotate, one month sunshine then the next the sqaure, rinse and repeat.

Well, I was talking with Amanda (one of the girls that works at War and Pieces). She mentioned a Warmachine league. I'm real interested in starting that. It seems to work like any other table top league. You can schedule games throughout the week and blah blah blah. I'm pretty sure Gabe can set that up for us. The other good thing is we can play wherever we want! as for tourneys, i dont care where the venue is, although i would prefer Dragon. It's closer to my house.

I've emailed Sandy from War & Pieces to find out if she has an organized league or if it's just a group of gamers who get together for a series of pick-up games. I haven't received a response yet.
Once I have my force ready, I'm rather indifferent as to where tourneys are held as well.

War and Pieces always run the Privateer Press league. The next one is in February.

Sunshine has expressed interest in running the next league.

War & Pieces in Davie has the best Privateer Press selection
Outland Station in Miami and Adventure Game Store (formerly Dragon's Lair) in Ft Lauderdale has a weak selection.
Sunshine (Miami), Silver Dragon Square (Miami), and Tate's (Ft Lauderdale) do not carry PP products.

I need to know where everyone wants to play so I can run the league there.

I vote for W&P its a nice store with a dedicated area for tabletop miniature gaming.

As far as day to day gaming, people play at W&P on Fridays and Sat.
Friday night is Warmachine/Hordes night at Adventure Gaming Store.
Sunshine is trying to get a group of players to migrate over on Thursday nights.

I'll start a list so you guys can join my current group of players (most live in Broward) so that you can join our regular events.

Israel @ Silver Dragon Square has expressed interest in running regular WM/H nights on Wednesdays. I'm sure he'll be carrying some PP stock.
Sunshine will begin carrying PP stock after 11/28, Joel will be having a big sale on PP items on Black Friday (40% Off)
Mondays is also a WM/H night @ W&P.

Personally, I can only get one night out to play and I've been trekking up to W&P.

I would perfer the silver dragon to be the main site of said league just for the sheer fact that they have more table space to play, I love W&P for the stock of PP they have but you can only run 3 games their at a time, with Silver Dragon theirs plenty of room and a bunch of table space to have 7+ games running at any given time if the group gets that big, well just my two cents.

That is a good point. I vote for Silver Dragon. I would vote for W&P but it's too far away.

I'm best with any store in Miami, WandP is too far for most of us.

I vote for Sunshine.

I would vote for sunshine simply cause it's closer to my house.

My vote would be for Sunshine as well. I've known Joel for a good long while, and honestly, when he decides to back a game he does it full force, not to mention the blanket discount, which I don't see any other store offering.

just my two cents but i think its going to take a lot for Joel to back the game, he tried it before and it failed, hes trying it now but with this black friday sale i don't see myself needing anything untill my bastions are released in febuary...but ya never know, Izzy said he would start carrying the product if more people started playing at the square, then again if this goes down the toilet in 3 months like the latest fall fashion, at least W&P has a solid group and isnt that far at all.

Well, C, I too am worried about this being just a trend but I plan to play this for good. As for the venue, I don't care. I would prefer the dragon. Joel just creeps me out. He always has and always will.
