Clan Solskritt

Howdy ho!!! I will be using this thread to post everything about my clan Solskritt and the Confederatcy. I'll try to get some pictures up tommorow but for now I'll just lay down the main background for my army, here it is:

A few years after Clan Pestilens unsuccessfully released the Red Pox all of Skavendom became embroiled in the second skaven civil war.Warlord Solskritt,leader of Clan Solskritt pretended neutrality while secretly backing Clan Pestilens. When the much larger Clan Lisk found out about this,they prepared to assault Clan Solkritt's stronghold. Warlord Solskritt's informants brought this new back to him and he prepared to flee. He chose his most productive breeders and his most loyal stormvermin and fled all the way down to the Southlands where Clan Pestilens had a large influence and he would be safe from clans that supported Clan Skyre.

Once there he conquered the territory of the small Clan Skatik and began to breed many new Skaven for the clan. Once the clan had begun to thrive in this new land Warlord Solskritt began to conquer more territory. He would send assassins to take out rival clans' warlords and then he would replace them with one of his own stormvermin. Eventually his vast territory stretched from the sea in the east to one of the Clan Pestilens strongholds in the west with his own subordinates ruling each territory.

Now is when the Confederatcy was born. Warlord Solskritt decided that each territory ruled by his chieftains would become states in his new government. They would all rule over their individual states but Warlord Solskritt would be the leader of this new nation. He named Grey Seer Ratbert E. Leep as comander of the Confederatcy's forces.

The Confederatcy has strong ties to Clan Pestilens and employs many regiments of the clan's diseased vermin in their army. The Confederatcy has severed all ties to Clan Skyre although they have witnessed the usefulness of Skyre's weaponry and therefore employ several renegade warlock engineers and weapons specialists. Clan Moulder troops are also employed by the Confederatcy because the Clan has decided to set up a small testing facility in the southlands and so can sell their creations to the Confederatcy. Clan Eshin troops, while extremely expensive, are purchased when needed by the Confederatcy to take out enemy Warlords.

I'm going to attempt to paint 25 Clanrats with full command today, we'll see If i can do it.

Well, I failed . I got distracted by a bunch of other stuff and only ended up base coating the fur on like 6 of 'em. I'll try to finish them tomorrow. I need more moral support people! Cheer me on!

Dude, finishing a whole unit is not an easy thing: you get 90% done by base coating and adding some inks, but that other 10% takes just as much time. The devil is in the details.

im 11 years of gaming i think ive painted 6 figures total i give props to all you guys that take time to have a nicely painted army on the field.

Well, I managed to paint 10 Clanrats so far including command, maybe I'll paint more later or tomorrow. I'll try to post pics as well.

I'm gonna try to finish a Clanrat unit today!

JC has inspired me...I have now completed 4 White Lions and am in the process of finishing 4 more...at this rate, my 2K force will be completely painted in 2011! Go JC!!! You da man!

Well, no progress so far but I did get two Jezzail blisters today. My Screaming bell fell apart when I got home It's the second time it fell apart and I don't know what to do. I'm thinking of pinning the parts but I lack the tools to do that

Joel sells a hand drill from Galeforce 9. Its not too expensive and with that you'll be able to do all the pinning you need

Well, I just finished painting a test model for my Stormvermin and I like how he came out. I'll try to paint four more today and I'll post pics tomorrow or Tuesday.

Well, I didn't paint four more Stormvermin but................................................I painted Ratbert E. Leep!!!!!! I think he looks really good!I tried out the source lighting technique and i think that looks great. It looks as if the warpstone on his staff is actually glowing I'll try to post pics ASAP

JC...I've done plenty of pinning...I'll be happy to pin it for you. Either leave it with me, or if we're at the Square at the same time, let me know and I'll bring my stuff with me to pin it.
