Corsairs of Umbar...Worst units in the game ?

I've mentioned this to some of you before...I think its a real let down that the corsairs of umbar are kinda crap. In the old skirmish rules they all carried throwing weapons (knives) at least ! that woulda been a little helpfull...

So why the hell would anyone ever take Corsairs over Easterlings? They should be 15-20 points per company. Unless you just want corsairs for fluff reasons you would have to be a fool to use these guys. At least the haradrim have their poisoned weapons and interesting things like the Harashin to give them a purpose to be fielded... hopefully these get errata because I think they are cool and I'd like to use them...but it seems like a waste of money to invest in a unit that is not competitive. Venting complete

Very valid points. No, clue. Those should be 20pts per company.

I think they should be 15 points.

I agree 100%. I was looking at them as well. Why waste the money? I love my Easterlings they are solid core troops with a good fight value and good armor. Thats why their the meat and potato's of my army.

I played Frantic's Easterlings last night (Tuesday) and that was a slug fest, not an easy game. A great army, well worth the point cost and a lot fun.

Guess, I was punch drunk, you are right Haradrim with Suludan and Captain in each formation.
