Hey guys,

Please give some feedback here about how you felt the tournament went. I want honest feedback cause I think it's the only way we as a community will get better at running events (hopefully folks will learn from my mistakes for the future).

I'd like to apologize in advance if I was seeming a bit crabby or moody towards the end. My mind was elsewhere (thinking about work) so it getting all flared up.

Our timings were a little bit off, but we still finished before 8 pm which was good. It seemed to me like 2 hours was enough time, but I couldn't tell completely. I know some of the mission stuff seemed a little funky, but I wanted to try some new stuff by mixing a couple of the different mission stipulations.

Thanks!

I think overall the tournament was great.

The missions were balanced and not too outlandish. There might have been some better preparation for the second one, in terms of set up, but overall the second mission proved to be very tactically challenging. Even if people like Bill and I set up on different sides, we both new we did not want a draw and so had to engage.

I really didn't see any problems.

I was very surprised to have won the painting competition, and I'm not just saying that to sound humble. I guess I've gotten kind of used to being second place. But in regards to the painting competition, I'd like to see us come up with a criteria of judgment like the golden Daemon. You, know measure a model based on various factors such as modeling, creativity, painting technique, originality, special effects and so on.

Maybe we can get the Golden Deamon rules?

FYI from WHFB FAQ2

Psychology

Q. Are partially screened frenzied units allowed to
declare charges? For example, if I have a unit of
Warhounds partially screening a unit of frenzied
Chaos Knights of Khorne are both units allowed to
declare a charge at the same or different enemy
units they can see?

A. If the screening unit is also declaring a charge
(i.e. they intend to get out of the way), then the
frenzied unit behind them can, and indeed must,
declare a charge as well. If the screening unit does
not declare a charge, the frenzied unit behind does
not have to declare a charge, as it wouldn’t be able
to reach the intended target. If the screening unit
doesn’t move far enough to clear the way (because
they failed the charge, or if a Fear test stopped
them in their tracks, and so on), then the frenzied
unit behind them would also fail the charge,
stopped by the screening unit getting in the way.

Yeah,.. I looked that up on my i phone in the store..

So in the case of Priscylla , in front of a unit of Khorne Knights, as long as she would prevent the knights from making a charge, during the declare charges phase, the khorne knights would not have to declare a charge.

I knew that was the case because Khorne players use non-frenzied units to screen their own frenzied units from having to charge all the time.

BTW, thanks for the compliment on Kolek

It was a good go with only one hiccup midway that wasn't that big of a deal. Very Happy
