Dark Elf Hidden Assassians rule.

So, this hadn't really come to my mind, other then I found it really silly that you could put all of your assassians in one unit (even though you bought them as unit upgrades) until Nate went to the Finals at Chicago.

Up there they told him that when your deploying the assassians, they can only go 1 per unit. WHICH units doesn't matter, but it has to be 1 per unit.

This got me asking around. I haven't read the actual rule so I can't quote it, but I asked on Ulthuan.com (granted, a probably slightly baised site) and got a maybe and a no, multiple assassians can't hide in the same unit. There is nothing stopping them from JOINING the same unit once revealed, but they can't all be in the same unit.


I'm going to ask on the Bretonnian site as well, but what are everyone else's thoughts on this?

Are you refering to:

"Each Dark elf infantry unit (except Harpies) may include a single assassin."

This is for purchasing assassins in the making of the army. If this were to mean what they ruled, then I could purchase five assassins and only have one infantry unit.

also, you don't buy them as unit upgrades. they're characters in every respect


You can try posting it on warseer.com, a general and less biased site, or Druchii.net for people that deal with the codex most often.
