Mechwarrior (Battletech RPG) at Sunshine

Would anyone be interested in this? We have 4 people plus a GM (Jose) so far. We are thinking a weeknight... probably thursday/friday.

do miniatures get used in this rpg game?

Yes, it pretty much uses Battletech to resolve most combats.

2 questions since I've never played this game before.

Am I to understand that in game my character would be like some sort of pilot and when the crap hits the fan I get to jump into a mech and wreak havok on bad guys?

Sometimes. It depends on where the DM is going with things. Generally yes if everyone is a mech pilot in a combat unit. But if you got into a brawl at a bar or something you wouldn't just jump into mechs and throw down

What if I came into the bar wearing my Mech and stoled money and killed everyone? Then can I use my model?

My pilot dude will be waiting outside the bar when he does all this killing.

When is a decision going to be made for green lighting this game?

Thursday nights will be when this goes down. I'll let you all know the official start date tonight. It will likely be this Thursday that we meet to build characters and such so be ready!

Ok, we are officially meeting this thursday around 5pm. We will discuss the details and make some characters.

To play you need a single mech figure for the mech you want to use and a figure to represent your pilot. I have plenty of both if anyone needs to borrow.

Joel is charging the usual 3 dollars. But instead of it going to towards your league points, everyone rolls off and the winner gets the total store credit for what our group put in (If there is 7 of us thats 21 dollars) the same night. Once you win, you cant roll off again until everyone has gotten the store credit once.
